Is CJDropshipping operational right now?

Hey,

So I'm doing pretty large volume for DS right now, is CJDropshipping still operational? Are they able to process orders?

I'm asking as its close to Chinese New Year and they're not responding to my emails or instant chat. The phone number that they have just goes to voicemail too.

I really don't want to order through Aliexpress as I've been burned multiple times in the past when doing volume.

Thanks

Be verrrry careful with them. I thought they were reputable after how much volume they were claiming to do as well as some testimonials, but they burned me pretty bad. My bad experience includes: taking 3 weeks to ship out orders (not deliver, but leave their warehouse), losing items, sending opened/damaged items, not sending the full quantity, shipping with the wrong shipping method (even if you pay for express), all of which contributed to a chargeback rate that risk management does not approve of.

Hey thanks for the response.

Yeah I've heard people leaving bad reviews for them. Seems like they've fallen off.

What alternative do you use now? Aliexpress?

Hopefully you didn't get MATCH'd?

Yeah, I use Aliexpress, but a little differently--I work exclusively with a manufacturer who I've built up a great relationship with and now I have them source all of my products. Honestly, I prefer this approach over fulfillment companies. I've heard horror stories about other fulfillment companies too, like Sumai, who is supposed to be very reputable.

It was bad but I did not lose my merchant account/get blacklisted.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you find a manufacturer? Just inquired if they owned a factory? I was planning on doing that on Aliexpress as well as Alibaba as on Alibaba most of them own factories.

Also, sorry to hear about the chargeback rate, thats always stressful but atleast you didn't lose your merchant account

I actually got lucky with a previous product that I sold. I was approached by the supplier and they told me they're the manufacturer and were willing to offer better rates, etc. Soon after I had them source another product since the first Aliexpress supplier I used for this product was terrible. These guys sourced it, were willing to hold inventory for me at their own risk so they could ship it out within 1-2 days, and always ate up the cost when an item was lost in transit or arrived damaged. If I were to do it again I'd look for guys who have the "Top Brand" badge and have a couple products in their list that have done thousands of sales. That'd be a good place to start.

I'll definitely start doing that. Thank you very much for the great tip!
