Hey guys,
I wanted to post here and put myself in the public eye. I have been messing around with affiliate marketing for years now and have yet to make anything of it. Life has gotten in the way and immediate cash flow for the family has always been the priority. Wife 2 kids you know the story, anyway I currently have an online business doing local marketing stuff for docs, but my heart is not in it and I really don't like the hand holding you have to do to reassure them that they will get some calls off of what you have done. I love the idea of not having clients, anyway. Here I am I am going to make this work. In short the goal is 500 per day within 60 days and then the moon, but 500 per day would replace this other business so I can focus on this full time. In the next 3O days I am looking for 200 a day. So I will put it all here for everyone to see and help is much appreciated in advance. Thanks for a great forum and community. I will start posting later today and post daily.
Ok, I spent the day working on some CPV lab tracking issues but got them resolved. So far I have launched a direct linking dating offer in France on Lead Impact I am waiting for approval and will give details of that as they come in. I also have a coreg offer from silver path that I just got the lander done for. Let me know what you think and please give feed, I will be launching this tomorrow on TV.
Hey what's up rsbpc... looking forward to your follow along...subscribed! Best of luck bro
Thanks bro, looking forward to the challenge.
Ok, so after messing with my landers and trying to get my tracking setup I think I am ready to roll. I just finished reading through profitable's coreg 30 day challenge and I am a but concerned that starting with coreg my be a but ambitious. I have terrible ADD and the details escape me so tracking is going to be tough for me, but I will conquer it. So I may stick with simple straight forward offers like email submits and see how I do. Right now I am setting up a few branded landers for the typical email submits that are floating around. I am going to get 5 campaigns set up today and I will post results tomorrow of my initial spend etc.
You should share how you are setting up tracking for what you are doing, and what network/networks you are running thru.
If you don't wish to post what email submits you are pushing, that's fine. Same as what keywords you are bidding on and bids.
Example, using Prosper 202, since it's free, have pixel on landing page, and logging clicks in at x price.
your about to rotate 17 offers? lmao.. stick with 3 unless your experienced and have money to blow
No shit? I was thinking this was a good plan haha
Testing 17 offers on one target sounds a bit over the top bro.. Ha. I'm pretty sure you'll get a decent idea whether you can do anything with your target by just testing a few known converting offers on it. You're using a landing page right..? It would be even more of a waste of $$ if you have to test 17 offers on a landing page if it has a crap CTR.
I hear you, I have scaled it back to 3 as suggested. I let the 17 run last night and had 1 conversion on a 10 dollar adspend. I am DL at the moment once something converts even a bit I figured I would build a lander for it.
Ok, sorry for the delay my ADD is getting the best of me, I was actually thinking of scrapping this and going to PPC. Anyway, I realize I will never make it in this business if I can't stop the shiny object syndrome. I have some friends killing it in PPC but they are spending thousands and thousands a day. I can't do that yet, so I am going to really focus on PPV. Ok so here it goes, first campaign started it is a coreg rotator with Silver Path. I have 3 offers on a landing page and the lander has 3 options showing each item out of stock. I am testing it on 1 good volume target to see if I can at least get some metrics. This target is in the TV top 500 and I am bidding the minimum on TV with good ranking. Once this starts running I will update the results. I am going to get a few more TV camps set up now.
Your doing coreg as your first campaign? Are you serious now? GOOD LUCK!
Id stick with email submits... if you cant get them working then coreg is definitely not something you should try...
I am serious and ready to go, I just put up another campaign in the survey style with an email submit. I am testing it on related domains and I put up 2 version of the lander. Waiting on approval. Ok, I will scrap the coreg for now and replace the offer on that lander with 3 zip code submits.
I dont think the problem is the offer. More than likely its either your landing page or your actual targets/traffic.
I just got the lander up and don't have enough data yet, I am going to let it run for a day then report back.
Hey vidivo do you really think submits are easier ?
strange i couldn't get an email submit to be profitable more than 1 day. i always had 150 % ROI but later in the day .... scrub ... scrub .... scrub.
If you just run one lander, how will you know if its the lander or the traffic? You have to build out at least 2 or 3 even landers so that you know if your first lander was just bad or if it was the traffic / targeting...
I am rotating 3 landers for 1 offer and 2 for the other. All are now email submits between 1.50-1.80.
Ok so here is my day 1 stats, I made a mistake because I placed my CPV lab pixels in 1 of the networks with 3 of the offers and I didn't know until later that it has to be https so I need to get that handled with Beyond Hosting. I have 2 campaigns going 1 is a lander essentially saying you win and gives them 3 options as far as the prize. I am running 3 versions of this lander and each one has a different offer x'd out as being sold out. Here is the stats for this one.
Lander 1- 1198 views 27 clicks 2.25% CTR 2 conversions
Lander 2- 1192 views 12 clicks 1.01% CTR 1 conversions
Lander 3- 692 views 13 clicks 1.88% CTR 0 conversions
I had 3 offers on each page and these are the results of the 3 offers. Again remember I didn't have the tracking pixel in place so I have no idea what keywords or url's these came from.
Ipad 2- 3 conversions 5.40 in revenue
Walmart gift card- 0 conversions
Best Buy- 1 conversion 1.75 in revenue
I spent 32.76 on the traffic and made back 7.15 for an ROI of -358.2% or a loss of (25.61) but I have to tell you I feel good about it, I am finally in the game and look forward to learning this stuff. It was a lot of fun and even 1.75 conversion feels good.
The second campaign is a Bieber style survey with 1 offer so far. the stats are below.
lander 1- 1733 views 61 clicks 3.52% CTR
lander 2- 1751 views 54 clicks 3.08% CTR
Again the pixel was jacked up so I have no idea what created the conversions, there were 7 total for 10.50 in revenue.
So total spend was 38.76 with 10.50 in revenue for an ROI of -269.1% or a loss of (-28.26)
I will get the tracking fixed and go from there, I also cut several high volume targets that ate up the budget.
Looking forward to all feedback.
I went ahead and ran a little traffic to the offers today, while I wait to get my https set up. The stats are below:
Multi Offer Campaign
17.01 in traffic 2 conversions for 3.55 in revenue for a loss of (13.46) or a -379.2 ROI I turned off the landing page with no clicks and left 2 options the results for them are as follows:
Lander 1- 8clicks CTR 1.02% 1 conversion
Lander 2 12clicks CTR 1.55% 0 conversions
Campaign 2-
Spent 7.84 made 4.50 for an ROI of -74/2% I turned off one landing page because the CTR was only .79% vs 2.80% this one I feel is close to being profitable, but I am going to pause it until I get the tracking in place.
Can we see your landers? I dont think they are good enough because your ctr is very low.
Sure, how do I insert images into the post?
Upload, then utilize
Got it, here is the 1st lander it had the best click through for the 2nd campaign, The arrow is animated.
The other lander is here and there are 3 versions although I have now dropped it to 2. Each version shows one of the options sold out.
I'm no expert on landing pages, but I don't think Apple has released the iPhone 5 yet and on the second lander, are you giving away clams or do you want them to claim their prize? I certainly wouldn't go any further on either of these pages. Spelling errors make me very cautious.
everybody do the clam now!
Whoops, well my graphic design guy is from India so I didn't catch the typo and I have no idea where the Iphone 5 came from. Thanks for catching that. Hey typos work sometimes don't be dicks.
OSX has the ability to take screenshots right out the box too!

Lol... on another note... the header on the Bieber LP might work better in Arial Font... would be worth testing imo
Thanks I will test it all, and the dicks comment is meant in a loving way.
Ok, I tried to get 2 more camps up with LI and they denied my lander saying I needed some disclaimers etc. They also denied my other campaign saying they had a relationship with that advertiser already WTF? So they are running their own traffic and cut you out? Anyway I'll take the credit offer back to TV after I add funds to my account.
yea they run lots of offers internally. you can try switch after approval but use on your own risk.
yep - that is the challenge with LI - many offers are not allowed because they have the "internal" relationship. the really annoying one is the retrospective "we decided we liked what you were doing so now we have an 'internal relationship'" msg
re: disclaimer
there are plenty of examples on the forum. Just search for disclaimer.
Any more updates on
Landing Pages being used and Stats? Curious to know if the spelling made a different or the arial font change?
on the bieber LP, MAKE SURE to put a pic of bieber... it will be more relevant (more conversions)
