What Is The Best Platform for Collecting Your Own Push Traffic?

We are looking at building up our own push subscribers, so are now looking for solutions.

So far I've seen;

onesignal.com
pushnami.com
pushengage.com

Does anyone have any experience with collecting your own subscribers?

Curious to hear your thoughts!

https://www.pushmaze.com/

Never tried it but it seems very good value for money and you own the data yourself.

We use onesignal on a free plan (up to 30K subscribers) and I must say it does the job. But there are also some downsides:
- targetting only possible via a paid plan
- segmenting is very basic
- 99 per month for basic plan is quite steep

I'm looking for good offers by the way.
Cheers,

If I'm not wrong, onesignal also sends their own notifications to your user base when you're on the free plan, not sure about what % of users it affects, but I guess all the free solutions are doing something similar.

Are you just collection subscribers for marketing purposes or building a service?

If you doing your own service https://developers.google.com/web/fu...notifications/

Direct route, full control with no subscription fees. But you have to build out everything

Depending on goals it may or may not be worth looking into.

I've used https://pushalert.co, and it works for me pretty well with my small volumes.

Lorenzo,

have a look at Github first, a lot of the work is already done.

Out of this list, Onesignal is probably the best. They have a really good platform, We did some A/B testing back in the day with them to test our in house tools in collecting push subscribers in comparison to outsource tools. They were pretty decent, good platform, nice dashboard. They give you all the tools and it's quite comfortable. In the end, we went with an in house tool that we developed, but if we hadn't we would probably go with them.

I'm looking into solutions that don't involve the use of 3rd party services like OneSignal.

Call me paranoid, but I don't trust these services and the fact that they control all the subscribers.

I've contacted a few people on Fiverr. Many use Onesignal, but a couple have their own solutions - will report back after testing them out.

I had a developer build me a 100% custom platform that includes things like an automatic push scheduler. Paid $15K but it works like a charm.

Recommend coding a new one or use some template and put a good dev on it (I think there are some templates out there)

Without entering specifics you wouldn't feel like sharing, Would you mind sharing some infos on what you think is important in terms of the specifications for outsourcing such a platform?

Pushnami is my favorite either you can manage the ads or they will.

issue with most of those services is that you need to create a different app for each domain, what happens in the case that you have many domains in the same vertical and you want one app to manage them all instead of creating xxx amount of apps for the same vertical? Is there any service that can do that?

Sounds interesting. How long did it take you to get your custom push platform?

I wanna know this too. Is there any way to collect push subs into a single app from multiple domains? I think it's domain specific.

In their Terms of use stated that you can not use adult, but they are loyal to this on the paid version

So once you collect the database on pushcrew/onesignal/pushmaze/whatever else, how can you become a pub on megapush/propeler/mgid etc and sell traffic to them?

I'm using pushengage personally. I originally tried OneSignal but it didn't allow for the native Chrome notification box for mobile devices which is absolutely imperative for decent CTR.

I just mean that OneSignal won't allow you to request push permission natively on Android, like this:

Size:	75.3 KB
ID:	21250

It will only allow you to request permission like this which gives a lower CR:

I was thinking of doing this as well why not buy a script from codecanyon? that is what I am thinking of doing just using a script platform for more control

I have found that aggressive push requests work best for me and most of these platform don't allow you to collect subscribers through aggressive ones. What I do is to create an aggressive lander like this one and buy push subscribers for cheap from BcnMonetize paying between $0.03 - $0.2 for tier 2 and 3 countries and between $0.3 - $1 for tier 1 countries. Then send them push offers and monetize. I am also buying from Propeller Ads on CPM and optimize but you need to be willing to churn some money until you find the converting zones.

Hey! Really useful thread! But... I'm looking for the solution that collect push user base on my websites and then be able to send push notifications from external feeds, multiple external feeds.
So we talk with OneSignal and PushEngage and found that they are unable to provide those features.

08-15-2019 11:42 AM #32 flvtobiz (Member)

Ouch... my message still the last one.
Someone found the platform? Where I can collect subscriptions user base and then send them push ads from multiple external feeds?
Somewhere should be that thing for sale!
