BeyondHosting down?

Anyone here using beyondhosting.net? They are down for me, not sure what is going on there ... is it down for you guys too? I had some ISP problems lately so not sure if it's related or they are having some issues.

Yup, checked this tool ... seems like they have a problem somewhere.

Anyone knows what's going on? I got a few important landers hosted with them, so had to pause a lot of traffic

Unfortunately I don't have a direct contact there so can't ask directly as their support section is down too.

Ok so looks like there was a problem out of their control :

Seems to be working now again, here is a link to their status page : http://status.beyondhosting.net/

Yes we have 3 internet providers via local loop fiber here in Cincinnati, one side of the loop was under scheduled maintenance then a dump truck ran over a telephone pole on the other side of the street.....

A full RFO will be coming out on this one, its almost unbelievable but it happened.

Sorry everyone! We know how bad this is for your business.

Oh wow ... who would have thought that a dump track could cause such damage to the digital world

Unbelievable ...

Here is more detail:
http://status.beyondhosting.net/incidents/9kqn6rvfdk15

A combination of scheduled maintenance and a construction incident basically created the outage. Perfect storm. Were going to work with our providers to divert the fiber paths further apart, it will cost us hundreds of thousands in new build cost but its critical that our customers are always online.

Beyond hosting is the worst company ever. I lost a lot of money with them and eventually just left.

I would be happy to look into whatever issue that you believe "Beyond Hosting" caused that you lost money on. Feel free to send me a DM with information about your specific incident and why we are at fault.

Please DM me and let’s talk. Justin and I have both joined the Liquid Web team and are very excited about the benefits Liquid Web brings to our customers. This acquisition gives our customers seamless access to a unified cloud platform which can deliver the infrastructure, security, reliability, and most importantly, a world-class support team you’ve come to expect from Beyond Hosting. I’m still here and happy to help.

Congratulations & Interesting news. When did this happen?

Also what does this mean for customers and your affiliates program?

Nana, that conversation is best had over email. All affiliates will be transferred with respective accounts.

This migration to liquid web just sucks.

3 days of downtimes 3 days in a row each for more than 1 hour. apart from the day they migrated the server in which the downtime was for 5 hours.

what are some good cloud hosting services you guys recommend?

I regularly use both digitalocean and vultr for AM related stuff that's not too aggressive, works pretty well for me

I have been using Liquidweb for the past few years and their service has been flawless.

Apart from that I have a few Vultr servers setup. Have not had any issues with them either.

Beware: The reason beyondhosting was suggested by STM and lots of other affiliates have always been because they were affiliate friendly. One big example of what you will run into is competitors sending fake dmca reports and complaints. Beyondhosting has always been easy to deal with in regards to this and werent like other big hosts who immediately take down your shit and block your account. With that being said, LIQUIDWEB does definitely do that and is a shame for any affiliates running with them. Doing any sort of aggressive / celeb angle is very dangerous with liquidweb and it sucks that beyondhosting sold their stuff to them as this is not what most of us here signed up for.

Digital Ocean and Vultr or anyone else are great for non-aggressive landers.

With aggresive ones it's rather about luck.

Once you got reported you can delete your stuff and try your luck again, but once you got repeatedly reported it's time to pack your bags and go to anyomous, crypto friendly hosting.

Or just not be aggressive ))
