Newbie starting point

Hello STMers,

I am a newbie who joined few days ago so please pardon my newbie question. my introduction here: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-hello-from-UK

I will appreciate if I can be pointed to where the starting point for newbies on this forum is to learn the affiliate marketing process with paid traffic and for guidance towards launching their own campaigns?

As this is a huge forum, there is a lot of information in thousands of threads which can be overwhelming for a newbie like me. I know of the newbie zone and have been going through loads of threads in there. But that is also huge with loads of information. I am becoming overwhelmed with information overload.

I am the type that learn by knowing and drawing out process steps that would lead me from current stage to the desired state which is in this scenario is from a newbie to being able to launch a successful campaign. But I can't find a place yet for this.

I have seen the 40 day tutorial which is detailed for execution, have read through some follow alongs etc but I am trying to find something that will give me a bird's eye view of this whole affiliate marketing process so I can plan and pick one step in the process at a time to execute in sequence.

Thanks for your anticipated help and response.

I would actually recommend to start with the 40-day tutorial, it's really a great one to follow for people who are totally new to AM. There are some basics that you NEED to master, no matter what path you take later on, such as tracking, campaign setup, offer setup etc ... thats the same with any vertical pretty much and it's all explained in the tutorial.

I would also recommend to read some of my threads in this section : https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...epts-Explained
There are quite a few threads dealing with the basic concepts of AM so that should help you too.

And a TIP: do not try to make all the decisions straight away and don't try to understand it all before launching your first campaign ... it's not possible, and you would just get lost in the ocean of information. Just make sure you understand the very basics, then launch something and learn along the way ... the act of actually launching a campaign and playing with it, will help you understand more than reading for a week

And welcome to the forum again

Matej.

Hey @lukeman!

Do not aim to be PERFECT.

Even if you study all the materials, once you enter the marketplace things will be may very different from theory.

There will be competition, bids changing, some landing pages and offers working and some not working at all.

Grasp the tech stuff and start launching.

You have to make your feet wet and act based on the data you collect.

ACTION => REACTION is the name of the game.

That will slowly lead you to success.

Wish you all the best have a great start to 2019!
