So after reading through numerous forum posts I feel a bit of information overload:
I have taken advice from many and decided on one business model (ecommerce-->dropshipping). As I mentioned in an earlier post my long-term goal is to build a brand.
Given a small budget of 3k....I realize that's (building a brand) is not feasible at the moment.
So I had formulated in my head how I was going to go about it:
-Learn fundamentals of copy, build this skill and leverage it. Review cashvertising, find samples on swiped and find a style that suits me.
-Once I have built my copy skills I'll begin product research (perhaps by looking at ecom networks as I read these products are proved to have demand and margin) I also have seen that udroppy is recommended a lot on this forum.
-according to a post from atilla it could be a better strategy to use a one page lander (click funnels) and convert customers this way as opposed to
I read in ecommerce evolved it is far more effective to market to customers through a stand alone funnel and direct them to your store through email.
-And then simply test ads and angles and see what works.
My concerns: Did i over simplify this. As a beginner I must admit that my technical knowledge is subpar...it does not scare me, but i feel that I am oversimplifying things. When I hear about the various spying softwares I feel that I am overlooking important factors. I checked out atillas blog and it seems that spying is used in ecommerce as well.
I bought ecommerce evolved and a fb advertising guide, I'll be spending today working on copy as I mentioned.
I read somewhere that "the days of the one man show are over"...am I in over my head as one guy trying to do this with 3k? Do i need to build a team from the get-go?
I am just thinking out loud at this point, but these are some of my thoughts.
I am anxious to start testing something, but I am trying build a foundation with the copy. Thanks for any input.
Your plan sounds great! I feel that you're at the point where you just need to start taking action.
Lots of ecommerce owners are still a "one-man-show". Of course sky's the limit as to how much you want to scale (assuming you can find a big enough audience for what you're selling), but figuring out all the steps on your own first would be important before hiring people - especially considering your limited funds.
You already have a rough plan. I would suggest to just start building a
Building out an individual sales funnel for products, with upsells and downsells, is great, but is also time-consuming. In the beginning, a

For products you're at least breaking-even on, you could then build a sales funnel for it (using clickfunnels or funnelbuildr for example) to increase your profits.
BTW do you have a target geo and niche in mind?
