I've been running a banner on a site of mine for a couple of months now. It's a Planning Family offer with Neverblue, and payout is $2.10.
Offer page is here: http://www.planningfamily.com/pfcpa27/
It's been converting at around 30%, giving me an EPC of $0.66.
I'm just putting together some landers right now. I'll be using some of the banners they provide in the resources on Neverblue, and then putting some text ("New Babies are SO Expensive!") and a nice clickable button for FREE STUFF.
Then I'll scrape some targets (could really do with the AffExpert scraper, hint, hint
) around pregancy/new baby/diaper kind of targets, and we'll see what happens.
I'll be back later...
Oh, and this will just be on TrafficVance for starters.
cheers mate. That's very generous. Just sent you a PM...
OK , didn't notice they were too small .
Here are the larger version :

Enjoy
Much better.
Thanks again.
Just had my first batch of targets approved by TV, and waiting for traffic to start coming...
I'm rotating 3 landers to begin with, all based around this layout below but changing out the top right image (the button is a flashing animated gif):

Hi Nick,
Double-check with your AM at Neverblue to make sure the offer will accept PPV traffic (or DLS traffic as they call it at Neverblue). I don't think it does, but you may be able to get away with it if you're already running some nice volume to it.
Wow awesome stuff Besmir!
and Nick this is a great unsaturated campaign idea
Let me know what CTR the landing page is at. I feel it could use some work.
Some quick landing page tips:
- Make it work together more (looks like images plopped on 1 page)
- Make the button say something along these lines "Free Stuff For Your Baby"
- I like your headline, but make it stand out way more!
- Try to get rid of the 300x250 banner and take the most important info from it, and add it to the lander.
Everything Stackman said about the lp. Split test between a landing page and direct linking.
I'm pretty confident you will get good results with direct linking too.
Thanks guys. Yeah, I know my lander looks very thrown together... I'm always eager to get traffic running, but I'll work on some new landers now. I'll split out some of the traffic for direct linking too.
wow that is value stuff your giving away bbrock32. thanks for that.
what is the minimum CTR your aiming for ?
Good stuff Nick - well done in getting out there and making a start.
Too many people over think a campaign instead of taking action.
Hope you make a $1000 per day when the bugs are sorted.
Murray.
1st day's update.
I decided to direct link some of the traffic too. So, my traffic was split between direct & landers 50%/50%, and then the lander traffic was split between 3 landers. (hope that makes sense).
Lander A - CTR=2.6% (230 views / 6 clicks)
Lander B & C - CTR=1.6% (240 views each / 4 clicks each)
Direct linking - 682 views
In total, that was around $30 of traffic.
I made 5 conversions - total $10.50
Now, here's the problem.... I forgot to set my frickin pixel on Neverblue, so I have absolutely no idea where the conversions came from! Doh!
So, I've set my pixel now, and I'll let this run for another $20 or so, just to get some more data, whilst I also work on some new landers.
As Arnie said... I'll be back.
2 main ideas to up your CTR:
1. "Receive up to $114 in FREE coupons and offers!" (this was taken from the offer page itself)
Edit it to something like: "Get $114 in FREE coupons for your Baby right now!"
Try this as the title for your landing page
2. http://www.google.ca/images?hl=en&q=...=1625&bih=1171
This black baby with blue eyes was the number 1 image for the "Whats your baby's name" mobile offer. I know from personal experience it gets some great CTR.
Incorporate that baby into your landing page!
Let me know the results!
nick - re: your tracking pixels - if you are using p202/t202 or cpvlab you can get the subid from neverblue and input it to your tracking package. Go to the reporting tab in never blue and choose the subid report. If your offer URL was setup correctly it should show the subid's for the converted clickthroughs. You only want to copy those that converted across to your tracking software. In cpvlab its under the Stats menu. I dont know about t202
Superb! Thanks for this. I've learned something new today.
So, do you have now the data of what converted? Which one did better?
2 conversions on the landers.
3 conversions for direct linking.
I'll run $20 on it again today and see if any of the targets are consistent.
However, if the direct linking does ok, then I really need to check with my AM about that, because it does say they DON'T allow DLS/PPV.
Hey Nick, i super quickly made this for you, try throwing it into your landing rotation.

Let me know if you need the PSD
also, might also want to try split testing with this offer:
http://reg.coolsavings.com/rd_p?p=200823&t=14346&c=&a=
1st page submit, pays $1 & proven converter
stackman,
Curious on what program do you use for these quickly landers like this one with title w/ yellow outlined letters....?
I think he uses Photoshop..
Awesome Jordan. Yeah, if you could drop me the PSD, it would be appreciated.
Just an update. I ran with the same targets yesterday (Saturday) to gather some more data, but also split with direct linking. 5 more conversions, but spent $30 in traffic.
However, over those two days there are only 5 targets which converted, 4 of them profitably, so I'll introduce the new lander on just those targets before expanding out again.
i use the following the edit graphics or the landers:
Free & Web based
1) pixlr - http://pixlr.com/
2) aviary - http://www.aviary.com/
Since then I have moved on to an app on my Mac:
http://www.pixelmator.com/
For facebook images you should check out jing/snagit if your on windows
http://www.techsmith.com/
The great thing with that one is that you can set the screencapture to the facebook ad size for 1 click capture, go to google images and go - click click click - autosaved to a folder and process images automatically to add a border.
Twonickle
- I just use photoshop, takes me 2 minutes.
nick
- PSD sent
gallox
- I didn't know about this pre-sized facebook image capture. Can you set it to any size??? ie: 330x240 (which is 110x80 x3)
This is huge timesaver, let me know!
For some reason the PSD didn't come through, but I hacked a lander together just from the JPG you provided.
The new lander didn't perform as well as the original (1a is the old, 2a is the blue eyed baby):

I'd pared down my targets to the ones getting conversions. There's only one in the black at the moment (similac.com). Huggies.com is close, but just about breakeven when you look at the real cost.

Babycenter is getting a fair bit of traffic, but just not the conversions. Over nearly three days I had 30+ clicks but only 4 conversions on that URL. Where the others were like 7-15 clicks and 3-4 conversions each.
I just don't think the babycenter url is a good url for this particular offer (ie. it doesn't convert!), so I may take that url into a separate campaign and rotate a few baby/parenting offers on it and see what happens.
As for the other URLs, I will continue to rotate some different landers, but it'll be slow progress on that given the low traffic.
Time to build a few more campaigns today rather than just dwell on this one. Need to keep busy!
babycenter is a difficult target for some reason. Ive invested about $100 across several campaigns and offers over the last 2 months to try and get it to convert and become profitable, but so far no luck. But - if you can - then its an awesome source with loads of traffic.
Interested in your engagement rate? are you using pop under or some form of exit/entry alert? Its very high as I normally hit 20-40% engagement with a 4s setting.
Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll spend my efforts on just getting up some more campaigns first then, before coming back to this one.
My engage rate is set at 4 seconds, and I mostly tend to get upwards of 70 or 80%. I'm on a VPS instead of shared hosting. I wonder if that could make a difference (ie. if your pages are slow to load)?
im on storm on demand and its fast in my experience:

from: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/
Yeah, I used to be on Storm on Demand and it was fast. I switched to Beyond Hosting though just because I got a better deal price wise.
Don't know what the deal is with the engage rate then.
Hey nick,
whats the better deal? The last time I compared BeyondHosting and Storm On Demand SOD had by far offered a better deal
Tyler's not running the offer anymore, but I got the same spec server that I was paying $70+/month for on Storm, for a lifetime 50% discount ($35/month).
Nick could you share some stats from one of your landing pages doing 80% engagement so see if it loads any faster then mine ? Use pingdom linked above. Keen to identify whats creating the engagement rate difference.
In my experience on average high engagement rates 30%+ result in 10%+ CTR - this not based on statistically significant data just my experience over the last 6 months.
Also , you could split test this with a few Free Diapers email submits that allow CPV traffic directly.
I think it will do better.
I got 86.76% engage rate on a lander yesterday, and here are the pingdom results:

Pretty similar to yours to be honest.
A quick update. I ran the diaper offer (just direct link) across a load of baby related urls, and over the past few hours had 5 conversions. 4 off one url in particular.
For that URL I spent about $8 to make $5.20, so next step is to build some landers out to increase conversions.
I bet the conversions came from planningfamily right?
Anyway , use the urls I showed in the screenshots and expand to leadimpact too. You will like the results
.
Also make sure you spread traffic to the same offer but in different networks. Most email submits scrub also based on the network , since every network sends different traffic quality.
Keep us updated
An update.
I couldn't get this profitable with direct linking, so I created a lander:

Yesterday I spent around $26 on Traffic Vance and generated just under $14 in revenue.
I split test two versions of the same lander; one with audio, one without. The one with audio peaked a CTR around 5% (compared to about 2% for the one without), so I pushed all the traffic to the audio one. By the end of the day though, CTR had averaged out just below 3%.
I can trim a few targets and maybe even daypart, but as it wasn't even nearly profitable, should I just move on...?
P.S. I also used one of Jordan's scripts he posted on his blog yesterday... ;-)
I suggest you port it to leadimpact. Bids tend to be lower , and on certain niches they have better traffic quality.
Hey nick, wat is the final result for this campaign? I will hack one together tonight with about 3 new offers from C2M (email/zips).
Damn, this offer is harder then I thought
Some stats so far:
Offers: YEAR FREE DIAPERS, $1500 DIAPERS AND FORMULA
Targets: 189 (where I already deleted and paused about 15)
Landers: 5 (currently paused 2)
Landers CTR: 1-3% (pretty shitty I know)
Cost: $15.13
Revenue: $7.90
Conversions: 5 (all from different targets)
P/L: $7.2
Best performing lander was this one without sound:

I am currently split testing this 3rd lander:

You do good graphic landers!
Free year of diapers (e-mail submit) was my first PPV campaing. Tried it on tow networks. Landers and direct linking, both without success. Lost about 100$ and dropped it. Hope you will make it better.
