Mobile Display in-app traffic - high bounce rate at Google Analytics / no conversion

Hi,

Since while I have some problem with mobile in-app ads traffic.

I'm using several DSP and mDSP like Pocketmath, myDSP, Adform etc.
Doesn't matter what I'm using the Google Analytics showing very high Bounce Rate..and no conversion.

Parallel I see more and more conversion marked as 'direct' or 'search'.

It's not a big deal when I'm working on own landing page, but sometimes I provide traffic to client landing pages and then I got a problem to explain that the conversion is from me.

Do you have any idea how it's possible?

Looking forward
John

in App traffic is more and more "contaminated" with bots, a lot of APPs were created for Autosubs, now that this is getting limited more and more the traffic arrives in Trafficnetworks and DSPs. Because its a real device, its coming also over 3G instead of only WIFI and its not easy to spot.

Hey John,
To better understand the nature of this traffic you can use our VLM's Anti-fraud Kit functionality. One of our Product Managers can reach out to you to discuss the feature you and help you with detecting ad fraud and removing it from your campaigns. If you're up for testing, just PM me
Thx
Justyna

A question for you : is this a new thing, have you seen better results in the past? Or have you just started to use GA?

The reason I'm asking is that GA generally shows a pretty high bounce rates for bought traffic, it's way worse than with organic ... at least based on my experience. On top of that, some apps are sending unintentional clicks, which results in super high bounce rates. I had very bad results with flashlight apps, games for young kids ... I always excluded these whenever I was starting a campaign with in-app traffic.
