it might just be me because im on a dry spell but i really am curious in 2019 if its still possible to be hitting those massive numbers as people did back in 2010 like charles ngo and malan darras. everything just seems to be so strict and harder to push and just so much more competitive. Thoughts?

Adapt or die. And yes it’s very possible! While you were typing this thread others were testing and learning. Asking these questions will never get you there I can tell.

That's probably what people said 10 years ago about the 10 years before that.

Having said so, I'd say that the entry level has gotten a bit tougher in 2018 but 2019 shows quite some promise in that regards with push notifications.

As for the top, there are still many people doing very well in the industry. Just that they didn't spend the previous 10 years building out a blog and audience so you probably know less about them.

There is one thing to realize here ... the amount of internet users and the amount of $$$ spent online is ONLY GOING UP and will continue to do so for several years to come. So it's all about finding the right business areas and focus on it.

It's true that what worked in 2010 most likely isn't gonna work that well today, but then again, there are so many new ways of making money now than there used to be 10 years ago.

I actually think there is people doing WAY bigger stuff now then back then... people are are just a lot more quiet about it now because like you said its more competitive/strict thus higher entry level and you can reverse engineer most stuff so fast.

Like Matuloo said, the numbers of the interwebz is only going up, and of course a lot of that reaches the giants pockets but there is still so much potential here.

Just that they didn't spend the previous 10 years building out a blog and audience so you probably know less about them.
Bingo thats a huge part of it, a lot of the guys doing astro numbers to various projects most wouldn't know them at all.

I also get curious as to when people say they tried a lot and its not working, I think its been a few years now and declining fast since you could just rely on directly copying and profit, the game actually takes a bit of thinking and planning these days... more original/unique campaigns or exclusivity are making staggering amounts.

Yup, it's totally possible and many peoples are doing it. Competition is there so you need to spend the $$$$ fast or other people will gather the data and scale the hell out of offer before you. Anyways in any scenario -- one is making good amount of money out of AM.

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the feedback! It was just my own anxious doubt taking a toll on me. Its always good to hear that reinforcement to put the mindset back in place.

Over the years I've seen one think repeat itself over and over ... in the same market there are always people who have seen better times, people who run stable and people who are reaching record numbers... unless the business model is dying for good, which affiliate marketing certainly isn't.
