Question for everyone ...
Just seen that Facebook are bringing in a new privacy tool giving the users the chance to clear their history.
Any ideas of how this could affect campaign performance via FB? Will it make targeting a lot more difficult for pubs?
Could you please link to the source?

I am guessing this "tool" will be hard to find in the settings, so little people will use/find it and little impact it will have on targeting and performance!
Really depends on how they code the tool ... if they really allow users to clear their history, it could definitely affect ad targeting, but it would also make it very hard for facebook to display the right content to these users ... Showing content that users are likely to engage with is one of the core principles of Facebook, I can't imagine they would let this card go. I guess stickupkid might be right, they will introduce a tool like this in order to satisfy those who come after FB after all those scandals, but they might make it hard to find or easy to miss, so as few people as possible actually use it.
Totally agree with stickupkid and matuloo. Or maybe they'll save "important" data in the name of "functional" data from Facebook. Targeting is the main reason many people love FB ads.
Thanks!I suppose you're right, it'll probably be a case of having to properly search for it ... in which case barely anyone will use it. Cheers!
