Native Reading

Hello everyone,

I have decided that in 2019 I will be leaving pops and banners behind me and that I will be 100% focused on native.

So before doing that I want to read up on native as much as I can so I am looking for great books, blogs, courses, podcasts and anything else on native.

Thanks!

Best resource to learn natives? - https://www.taboola.com or https://www.mgid.com

And for more knowledge - go here - and ask for the solution of your problems. When you'll launch campaigns then the roadblocks will come.

Btw good luck for 2019

Thanks, but I meant books, blogs, podcasts.

iStack has a native course by James Van Elswyk. They also have a podcast series.

For presentations there are a handful now from Affiliate World conferences, one from James, one from Aarlo Stone, one from myself, and now one from Ralfs, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some others + panels. I heard talk that presentations may be released for free on youtube.

But really just take action, the sooner the better. No course or book is going to do that for you. The goal is to make money right? Not write a school paper on native

Best of luck,

Kelly

Ralfs is an absolute machine, good speech at AWA should check it out when you can, for some extra native content there is some really solid advice over at Malan D's community (madsociety)

Try jump into a native mastermind, coming from a successful pop background maybe you can rustle your way into a good entry level one

Thanks guys,

Anywhere where I can see those presentations or are they not publicly available yet?

With regards to jumping in.. I have signed up to various networks and planning to run a few low spend campaigns alongside taking the Istack course.

I am also running push campaigns which I consider to be quite close to native in terms of creatives.

Started reading one book, so far it´s basic but good: Native Advertising - The Essential Guide by Dale Lovell

Just watched one of the AWE presentations from last year and I really liked it, can´t believe that I have never seen this one before.

This guy seems really down to earth and talks a lot of sense, is he a member on this forum?

Hey if you're open to other resources I would suggest you to talk to Account Managers at the Ad Networks you're interested in running so they can tailor your knowledge to up to date performance in the places you're gonna buy traffic. Whatever Ad Network you choose, the AMs who look at the traffic all day are your best chance at running traffic with a headstart.
At Voluum DSP our Account Managers can take you from picking an offer, landing page, and creative to opening a campaign targeting the right Networks and placements, to optimizing the campaign towards optimal ROI. Whether you want step by step help from the beginning or general insights on what to run, where to run it, and how to run it, our AMs are a great resource.
