Mobile Pin Subs In Spain Changed....EPC's Could Drop

just got this from matomy

Dear Partners,

In addition to our mutual day-to-day affiliate work we constantly strive to be the first to hear about latest news and updates in affiliate industry. As part of our service, we communicate these updates to you.

We have learned that MoviStar, one of Spain's large cellular operators, has decided to harden the signup flow to value-added services provided to his users. MoviStar dominates approximately 50% of all ES cellular devices.

This decision will affect the ES mobile flow for MoviStar users and will probably take place during Mid December 2011.

We will keep you updated once more information on the subject is available. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

sounds like the same thing that has happened in the US is happening in Spain....prob will have a def effect on your EPC's....or RPU's if you running paths....

Most of the offers are being pulled off, and those who are still available have had a huge payout drop (75% less). The signup flow is now ridiculous, most offers have changed to a model where users have to send a premium SMS answering a question. I had an offer consistently converting at 5-6%, tested this new offers with a 0% CR after a few hundreds clicks, not surprised.

From what I know Movistar intention from now on is to make clients who want to subscribe to a service send a signed paper letter including a copy of their ID, proof they are owners of the line, subscription short code, etc. This would be effective starting next December 14th. Non-sense.

Just curious, you don't have to answer if you don't want to but, who is your account rep over at Matomy and how do you like him/her? I have Barak Golan and he's okay so far....not GREAT but okay...

Same here, in Spain i went from $xx,xxx/day to $xxx overnight.
Other European countries are doing the same and implementing new regulations which make mobile much less profitable than only few months ago.
