I don't have much experience in Afflow but STM have a whole sub-forum for Afflow arbitrage ( https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...flow-Arbitrage ). Btw Welcome to STM!
LeadCloak
So these campaigns have been running for 3 days now. I also started running some Plugrush traffic to some of the top offers in Monetizers Offer Marketplace. The initial testing is going pretty well, with varied results for each campaign.
PopAds
I have 5 campaigns running with PopAds. Over the last 2-3 days, I've been cutting low-quality sources and removing low return categories and browsers. I've seen some improvement with these changes but there's at least one campaign that's beyond repair.
I've also corrected a couple of mistakes I made during this time. Firstly, I got the targeting wrong for one of my campaigns and bought 10k clicks to the wrong carrier (oops). Secondly, I've changed one of my tokens to pull the name of the ISP, where I was previously pulling the ID of the ISP, as I was unable to match the name to the ID and therefore unable to optimise by ISP.
Here are the results so far:
Campaign 1
Spend: $8.98
Revenue: $14.45
ROI: 60.91%
This is a very decent ROI but of course, the volume is pretty low. The next step is going to be to raise the bid somewhat to increase the traffic. However, I've recently been notified that the offer is paused, so this has thrown a spanner in the works. The good news is that I wasn't around to stop the campaign when the offer was paused, and Monetizer's back up smart link started rerouting my traffic to another offer which has already started converting. As such, I've removed the paused offer from the whitelist and whitelisted this offer instead.
Campaign 2
Spend: $15.26
Revenue: $2.38
ROI: -84.4%This is the campaign I targeted incorrectly, which did me no favours, as this made up $14.46 of the spend. Meaning had I targeted correctly, to begin with, I would be in positive ROI. Again, however, this is a very low volume, much lower than the previous campaign, which is strange considering they're targeting the same carrier, so this is something I'll have to look into and potentially open up the targeting to try and let more traffic through.
Campaign 3
Spend: $50.03
Revenue: $12.96
ROI: -74.09%
This is the campaign that seems unsalvagable to me. I've done as much optimisation as I can, given the data, but there seems to be little I can do as even the sources that are bringing the leads in are doing so at a very low CR. This offer has run out of budget at the minute, and I'm going to leave it that way while I comb through the data to see if there is anything I may have missed over the past few days.
Campaign 4
Spend: $26.99
Revenue: $7.31
ROI: -72.91%
This seems to be as bad as the last one, but given that the leads have been coming in from sources and categories with a decent CR it's not as hopeless as the previous campaign. I've cut many unprofitable sources, categories, browsers and more, and will see if this raises the CR somewhat.
Campaign 5
Spend: $24.88
Revenue: $8
ROI: -67.84
This campaign was targeting 2 operating systems, with most of the traffic coming from one operating system with no leads, I've cut the operating system, as well as bad sources and categories, and am waiting to see if the CR increases.
Plugrush
I began testing some traffic with Plugrush too, as I did $XX,XXX profit with them last year. I used the same method to find offers to run as I did with PopAds. However, the 3 campaigns I began to run have barely received any traffic since setting them up 2 days ago, so there is little to report (6k clicks no leads). So my plan is to play around with the targeting and bidding a little to see if I can bring more traffic in, and maybe open some more campaigns in higher volume geos.
Any tips and hints are greatly appreciated, and I'll update shortly!
So today's update isn't as in-depth as yesterdays. I've noticed that in cutting all the sources that were wasting spend for me, I seem to have restricted the traffic hugely. I've tried combatting this by raising the bid, but it's proving to be difficult to get a decent balance.
One of the campaigns (campaign 4) I was running has blacklisted my traffic from the offer, so I've set a couple of new campaigns up in its place, but not seen enough action to give an in-depth analysis of it yet, but will do when I have.
I'm pretty ill today and have spent the day in and out of consciousness so haven't had as much time to spend fixing this as I'd have liked. Hopefully, I'll be 100% tomorrow and able to spend the day on it, but for now, I'll let the traffic continue to trickle through in order to get that all important data.
If anybody has any tips on best bidding practices then I'm all ears!
