Why is Ad CTR higher for Android?

Maybe it's just the campaigns I'm running, but in general, for all the geos, Android ad CTR is double~quadruple that of my other placements for Native. My account manager says it's because there's more users on Android (which doesn't logically explain this lol). Is it because there's just more bots clicking around on Android OS than any other OSs?

Wondering if there's a logical explanation to this. Thanks!

What kind of CTR % differences do you see between Android and iOS?

I see a similar pattern ... it should have to do with the user base, cheap but already very solid android phones made it possible for plenty of new users to enter the mobile world, and as we all know, the new users are more hungry to explore new things, thus they click more.

Then there is a different default browser, which can work better with certain elements, like alerts etc.

On the other hand, iOS users are generally more wealthy on AVERAGE, so the overall lead quality is better for iOS users.

There are more bots on Android and Windows for sure. A simple bots catching script is enough to catch them, i think.

@erikgyepes - I'm doing male enhancement now, and if I'm getting 0.1% on iPhones, I'll be getting like 0.5% on Androids

@matuloo - What you're saying makes sense. In other words: newer users -> more click happy for ads -> but lower quality/conversion rate. Plus more bots = higher ad ctr. Thanks!
