PropellerAds estimated impressions way off

Using smartCPM -- I'm bidding well over the recommended amount and the chart estimates 150k+ impressions for the bid amount.

I go to advanced and select "Mobile". Note if I select "Other" the chart of estimated impressions stays exactly the same.

For "Other" traffic I am getting enough impressions, for "Mobile" I hardly get any.

I'm guessing I may not be bidding high enough, but is there a way to get the chart to refresh/be more accurate??

PropellerAds support told me - not in these exact words but pretty much the same gist - to just bid higher :/

Not sure why, but i got lower impressions than normal from them today across all my campaigns. Maybe holidays?

never mind, PropellerAds helped me understand that the more people that are bidding, the more of the total estimate # of impressions is shared among those bidders.

so if it estimates 100k impressions and there are 10 bidders all at $1 CPM, then each bidder gets 10k impressions.

so holidays indeed -- sorry for the newbie question

the inventory prediction tools are never accurate, seems predicting both supply and the demand for it is kind of tricky. keep in mind, many different advertisers are bidding together, some campaigns get more budget and some stop, So I wouldn't count on the tools, I would prefer to double check it with an account manager that can actually look at the global reports and see whether that number is real. We provide our advertisers with win-rate which they can use in real time to find out how they're doing bid-wise.
