Facebook ads without showing a Facebook page

Hi All,

Ive just returned to looking at Facebook ads for the first time in over a year.
It used to be the case that I could run Desktop ads without needing (or linking
to a facebook Page).

I now see in the Facebook ads manager that it seems that ALL ads
must be linked to a Facebook page? Is this in face the case or am I missing something here?
As an Affiliate marketer, its much easier for me to not have to create a new Facebook page
relevant to each of the desktop ads that I wish to run so I want to know if this is still possible?

Yes, but not on the timeline. On the right side of your FB page there are still spots which only need a header, an image and some call to action. It's called "right column".

Okay great, but how do i select this? in the ads manager, it seems to already allocate my ads to my only Facebook page and not allow
me to de-select this?

right columns are desktop only tho..

Is there a reason why you do not wanna use a FB page? it takes few seconds to make one
