Hey Guys,
I scaled a working campaign from native to FB and wanted to get it going fast.
One thing I did to really pump in the conversion data was to set FB to conversion optimize for ViewContent instead of sales. What I have is a pixel that fires when a user clicks to go to the offer page from my LP.
FB in very short time found a way to get me extremely cheap landing page CTRs. My ad relevancy score is 10, ad CTR is 20%, and landing page CTR is 30%.
Everything is going great EXCEPT for actual sales. Only had 1.
My question is -- was it a mistake to have FB optimize for ViewContent instead of sales?
Are there other cases where this actually speeds up data + you're not just attracting tire kickers?
I'm afraid I'll have to restart my campaign testing/data with a higher/more expensive CPA based on sales instead of ViewContent.
Hey pentas!
I use ViewContent when my pixel doesn't have any data to optimize for... so at the beginning. I leave this for a day or two and then I switch to Add to cart.
Switching to Add to cart will probably give you much better results.
When I a have a few ad-sets where initial testing phase was completed, which means you got 50+ conversions per adset, I switch to Purchase.
Let us know how it goes!
