My first campaigns and my first mistakes (3)

I just follow Vortex' 40-Day Tutorial and I have make 2 campaigns for test
I continue to following that guide but I like to receive also a feedback:

Affiliate Network Mobidea
Traffic Source Propeller ADS
Tracker Adsbridge

First Campaign:
CPM: 2.33 $
Duration: 1 day
Budget: 12 $ (include vat)
Visits: 4079 (enough to make decisions?)
Conversions: 0
ROI: -100%
Profit: -23$ (???Why?? Maybe I have wrog setting ADSBridget, I have put 2,33 instead of 2.33 maybe...)

Second Campaign:
CPM: 1 $
Payout: 0.21 $
Duration: today second day
Budget: 5,6 $ (include vat)
Visits: 9211 (enough to make decisions?)
Conversions: 14
ROI: -38%
Profit: -1.6$ (???)


My questions are:
-My first campaing spend all budget fast, my second can't spend all....(are 2 different Country) but why?
-Why my tracker not track correct the budget spend? Like this I not know never how many money I lose
In Propeller ADS I have set 1 for CPM, in ADS Bridget I have set 1 for CPM, but data are wrong.....I must consider ADSBRidget? or I must make my google spreadsheet and setting my correct data every day?

-The new affiliate like me never Can start use Voluum, it's too Expensive, maybe is better make a ADSBridge Guide for Newbie
-First Campaign visits are enought for make a decision? I have already stopped
-What I must do with second campaign? 14 conversions for 2.94 $ earning..with -1.6 profit......I must wait or I must stopped?
-I have increase CPM for second PropellerADS Campaign, because with 1$ I have see not get more traffic, so to 1.38 $, is good or bad idea ? Propeller ADS lose the optimization campaign like a Facebook while the campaign is running?
or was better create a new campaign for the same offert?

and then:
-I have only 2000$ for invest in this activity, Can I earn or is hard?
-If my campaign lose 8x my payout I must Kill ?
-How many budget/day for start new campaign?

Hi Marcello,

New to AM also. Also trying the "sVortex' 40-Day Tutorial" but have been slower than you. Thinking to launch the first with propellerads and clickdealer offer. Agree that Voluum is too expensive for beginner so have signed up for RedTrack.io . It was also great if someone could give me some guidance on this tracker.

Looking forward to see the experts replies to your questions so I can learn from it as well.

I think that was the mistake, yes.


Some countries have more traffic. How much you're bidding will also determine how much traffic you get.

If a campaign isn't spending money, and you're already bidding average or better, forget about it - even if you can make it profitable, you won't be making much money from it. Waste of time.


If you're using SmartCPM at PropellerAds, your costs in Adsbridge will be wrong anyway, because each placement will charge different prices per impression.

You can use a spreadsheet, yes - you can download placement (zone) costs from PropellerAds, download Adsbridge's placement stats including revenue, combine them in a spreadsheet, and decide which placements to cut.

Or you can switch to another tracker (but first, ask Adsbridge support if they support PropellerAds' {cost} token).


I would like to, but there are too many trackers on the market. I can't possibly make 10 versions for 10 trackers.

The new tutorial uses Voluum, because the old version used Voluum also, so it would be a little easier for me to write this new tutorial.

After I'm done, I will write versions for FunnelFlux and Binom. That will already involve a TON of work, and time that I don't have. So - apologies but a version for Adsbridge is not in my plans currently.

It shouldn't be too hard to learn Adsbridge though! Ask questions in this forum, and also contact Adsbridge support. You can figure things out.


First campaign - I don't know what the payout is, so can't say. Second campaign - if there is a lot of traffic, and you have at least a few bigger placements in profit, then you may be able to make it profitable by cutting bad placements. But you said the second campaign did not get much traffic - so it may be harder to make it profitable because you can't cut a lot of placements (or you would have even less traffic).

But that's not important. Direct-linking is a hard way to make profits now. Very hard. I only recommend it as an exercise now. Now that you have the practice, jump to landing pages IMMEDIATELY - please don't waste time trying to make profits with direct-linking to 1/2-click offers. It used to work. No longer works now.

PropellerAds isn't like Facebook - no need to worry there.

You can increase the bid to get more traffic, but it would be good to check the traffic graph first. If you bid 1.38 and still get the same amount or a little bit more, then maybe bid higher, or just target another country.


You can also do that. That way you can see how 2 campaigns perform at 2 different bids. But I wouldn't waste time/money testing bids unless the offer+lander are doing well.


$2k isn't a lot. $5k would be better. Or you can run some campaigns first to see how it goes.

You can also consider doing SEO - it's slow but can be done for a lot cheaper. Here's a great tutorial written by one of the best SEO teachers ever:

It's OK - English isn't my first language either, and we have a lot of members here that learned English only later. Your English is good enough to ask questions and understand answer - that's good enough! And if there's anything you don't understand you can always ask for clarification.
