Reducing Residual Clicks on Propeller Ads After Pausing

Hi guys,

I've been testing a few campaigns on Propeller Ads' push notifications with varied success. I've just been doing small $10 tests on nutra campaigns, that are making small bits of profit, but my profit margin gets eaten away after pausing the campaign, when residual clicks come in and don't convert.

I've found the timeframe for when the campaign seems to be convert, so I'm keen to avoid sending any traffic outside of this window. Do you think it would be best if I paused the campaign *during* the time period when the best traffic comes in, so that the quality of the residual clicks is higher, or would it be better if I now started scaling up the campaign, so my daily budget means that there is more margin (pun not intended) for error.

Thanks!

James

$10/day budget is very small relative to a nutra payout so you won't be getting any meaningful results anyway, scale up the spend.

Hey Stitch! The payout is $5 on a COD model, and I've typically been getting two sales from around $8-$8.50 spend. Then the residuals drip in and I eats away at the margin, which results in me making a minor loss.

I'll do $30 a day for a couple of days to see if that improves things. Hopefully the ratio will continue and I have more margin to play with by the time I pause.

Definitely worth testings with higher budgets. With a $5 payout $10 budget is way too low.

As stich mentioned, you need to gather more data.

Yup, you need to up the budget, I guess you aren't after $1.5-$2 profits anyways. You need to aim for running during the whole day, or at least bigger part of it ... for example if the offer is dependent on a call center that's not operating out of business hours.

Let us know how it went with the higher budget.
