Local Performance Marketing Agency - Only Charge Leads

Hi,
Today is my first day at STM!

I know that my question runs a little outside the affiliate marketing subject but I believe you guys can give me some advice if you believe this would work or not.

The idea is to create a local performance marketing local business where I would charge my clients (restaurants, spas, etc...) on bookings or leads. I would create Facebook
ads to a landing page with a call to action to a booking form. When the booking happens, I would share with the business owner/manager and they would pay me an agreed commission.

What do you think?

I understand that the risk in all on my side but the good thing is that I believe would be much easier to get clients.

Thanks!

Good idea though! Isn't it's like a simple CPA lead or CPS offer? (You get paid when you get a lead)

You can offer it for like first month as a hook for your marketing agency and later convert them on monthly basis. Try to keep them on offer that gives you better payout. Clients won't hesitate in paying some more bucks, if you send enough leads. First batch of clients are hard to get, later you may gain some other clients on just recommendation from your old happy clients (recommendation converts best).

Thank you. I'm testing it out today with a Kartra landing page and facebook ads for a local restaurant that will be holding a 2 weeks Argentinian promotion. Will update here the results to receive feedback and improvement tips.
Cheers,
Paulo

This can absolutely work if executed correctly.

It's not anything new - it's called "lead generation".

Basically you collect leads and sell them. A common tactic is to provide the first few leads for free so your client will know you're the real deal. After that it really shouldn't be hard to sell future leads.

I don't know how lucrative restaurant/spa leads are. The best candidates would be leads that will result in recurring profits for the client, such as dental patients, gym subscribers, hair loss clinics - where you can charge a lot of money per signup and your client would only be too happy to oblige, because it would still be good ROI for them.

Worth mentioning: Facebook has Lead Gen ads that will capture leads directly on FB without having to go to your website. Definitely something to test!

Have fun!

Thank you Amy.
I understand your concern about the "value" of restaurant leads vs dentists etc... I only choose restaurant at the beginning because I have some experience in selling these and many contacts on the local industry. Will try other kind of businesses as well.
Best, Paulo

This definitely, one of the main problems I came across with doing some local leadgen was the disconnect between what the business owner wanted in terms of leads/pricing and the method we've become used to with affiliate marketing haha, a lot of them have unrealistic opinions but if they gave it time would certainly revolutionise their business completely.

There is great potential in it, but I just struggle dealing with clients XD
