Life Insurance Niche – a few tips

Hi everyone,

We are looking for life insurance affiliates so if you’re interested please let me know today as quota is being allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We are paying a very high commission for these leads, we will beat all other networks to secure more volume.

In the meantime I thought I could offer a few tips to any affiliates running this offer…

  1. Be compliant

Life insurance is a high commission niche but it comes with a few regulatory issues. You will need to make sure you’re covered legally – we supply all relevant GDPR privacy policies and agreements, but on your part you will need to be Data Protection registered, see the ICO website, and also need to have one or more disclaimers on your site to say that you do not offer any kind of financial advice. Paddock Media is authorised and regulated by the FCA so we can help with any compliance questions you have.

2. Don’t be scared to bid high initially

This is a competitive niche, so if you’re starting out you should bid fairly high on the generic keywords to make sure that you give your ads a chance to get a good CTR, which will then bring your Quality Score up and bring your conversion cost down. The high CPL we pay means that you do have some room for higher CPCs.

3. Optimise for mobile

There’s a big difference between mobile-responsive and mobile-optimised. In our experience, the best converting mobile structure is obviously a 1-column design, with logo followed by a few bullet point USPs (unique selling points), followed by a short but easy to complete form. Underneath this you can include the content about the product which will help for landing page relevance etc. Also keep any navigation links below the fold – make completing the form the only thing the visitor can do on the site.

4. Brand bidding

Like most PPC offers, you’ll get your best conversions from the brand terms. Make sure you don’t include the brand names on the ads as they will be blocked. You can include brand names on your website using a UTM tag on your URL to increase relevance, as long as you’re not misleading the applicant in any way.
