Time tracking software

Hey,

Does anyone have a good time tracking software used to track VA performance? We're currently using Worksnaps and it's not great. Looking for something which allows us to view live screen of our VAs would be useful - if there's something that does this.

Thanks in advance!

If you just want to view live screens without recording you could use Teamviewer.
But to be honest, I never liked to control my VAs in that way.
I better prefer to work on a trust base with them.
I give tasks to do and as long as they get everything done it´s all fine.
When something goes wrong I talk with them about it to check what´s the problem.
But from my experience VAs don´t feel that good when they know there is a software recording their whole work and actions.
If you can´t trust them a software won´t better the bond of trust anyway.

In my experience you'll get much more value out of someone if you give them tasks/objectives and judge them on output and results without watching over their shoulder.

You can also consider paying them based on milestones that encourage them to work faster and get more done. On their end they want to make more money and on your end you spend the same amount to get X done, but get it doen in a shorter timeframe.

Ultimately if someone can find ways to work faster and produce more output for you, to their own benefit, everyone wins.

This.

I can see how some people want to make sure employees/VAs don't slack on the job but you should just focus on managing tasks and objectives.

At the end of the day, you really have to think about this question: "If someone can do a days work in 1 hour, should they be paid less?"

I think you should not punish someone for being fast. If they don't give the right output though, of course they should be asked (and helped) to improve.

Don't track VA's "performance" by working hours. Focus on getting more and better output of tasks.

Btw some really nice project management tips shared by veterans, thank you!

Hi Suitup,

You can use cloud version of https://networklookout.com/employee-monitoring/ , if live recording is required. For screenshot capture and other features http://hubstaff.com

We use Time Doctor with some of our VA's, highly recommended.
