How To Hide Referral

Hello


I Have A Question. Part of my sales in affiliation comes from adwords. Sadly it is not always allowed Lately I have had a problem with big amout of platforms blocades because their statistics shows that the purchase comes from google. How to hide referral and that purchase comes from google? Do You use any masking programs that can hide the link ( We can't do that in statistics) or shows that purchase was made from the site?

Double meta refresh will help to send blank referrer.
Or you can use a script like CPA Redirector to fake the referrer.

Double meta resfresh will hide something, then you can use a cloaker to hide more ... in any case, it's never 100% secure, so keep that in mind.

I modified some scripts myself for my needs to double meta refresh and fake the referrer and before user gets redirected it runs a check if referrer is either blank or the URL you set.
If it's OK user gets redirected to the destination, if not user gets redirected to safe site.

OP runs Adwords so he first would need to filter the trafficsource and then blank/fake the real users referrer.

Another way is to use a "no-referrer" meta tag in your landing page.

This way you could use a normal 302 redirect and save additional redirect in the flow:

It may not work 100% though as it's not supported in older browsers.

Be careful with adwords traffic if it's not allowed. I have had offer owners see my ad up on adwords and then deny payment from leads

BTW, just a hint ... in many cases, the advertisers only object in case of brand bidding in adwords... for regular KWs, they might not object at all. Might be worth it to check with the particular vendors ... not saying it's ALWAYS the case, but quite often it is.

are you not using a tracker software?
cause in the trackers i know you can setup a meta or double meta from your LP. then the network will see only your custom url as the referrer. but think of one thing: the advertiser or you affnetwork is paying you for your work. when the find something suspicious they maybe do not pay you.

i think its better to be honest with each other - affiliate - network - advertiser.
it´s enough to do things BH in the trafficsource but be fair to the ones that will pay you :-)
