Voluum Package (11)

Voluum Package

I'm following along the 40 day tutorials, and it indicates Voluum is around $99 per month. But as of 10/18 it looks like the cheapest plan is the basic plan at $219 a month if you commit to 2 years. Is this the right plan that more experienced members recommend?

Forget about Voluum.
The tutorial is little bit outdated nowadays.
Better get a self hosted tracker (I recommend Binom).
There are also few more things in the tutorial that are not really up to date anymore because some things changed since the tutorial was written.
Best would be to read some threads to check the current situation.
Or when you face some problems or when you have questions just ask.

I'm absolutely clueless about everything so was using the tutorial to start from scractch. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the info, when I browsed/searched from newbie information the tutorial came up. What should I search for instead or what threads can you direct me to.

Appreciate the response.

Good question.
I can tell you few things that have changed since the 40 days tutorial was released.

1) Voluum got too expensive, better use self hosted tracker.
2) Direct linking is not working as good anymore as it did when the tutorial was released. Better jump directly to landers and skip direct linking.
3) When the tutorial was released Propeller Ads only had fixed CPM bids. Now the also have SmartCPM bids. Use SmartCPM to save money.

I didn´t go through the turotial myself so I can´t tell about the whole content.
But the 3 things above are something I know that it´s not up to date anymore.

Thank you very much. I'll try to browse around the forum more to find another appropriate start.

You 'can' start with 40-day tutorial but keep twinaxe's words in mind.
And if you starting with it then read these threads for sure - 1) https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...g-(with-Binom)

+1 for Binom, reports of many users being happy with it so far

It seems like Binom and Binom's support team is really good! But if still wanna go with cloud tracker because you're a beginner then go with cloud hosted redtrack. Their starting plans are okay. Btw i'd also recommend self-hosted.

Yup, this is it.

The tutorial is still a great base for any newbie, just keep the mentioned changes in mind.

BTW: Amy is working on updating the guide right now, it's quite some task to do it, so it will take some more ... but she will get there for sure.

Aw thanks matuloo!

Yup - working full speed on updating the tutorial. It's surprising how much work it is - almost as much work as writing the original one!

Will get there for sure - hopefully will be able to start posting early next week!

After that, I'll adapt the tutorial for Binom and funnelflux - those will not take too long.

Thanks everyone for your patience!
