FB asking for VAT number

This is for affiliates located in EU.

How do you deal with it when FB asks your VAT number? To manage your billing and accounting it is necessary to put your VAT number bc you work as a company. Of course, this is not a problem when if you're running WH camps and if you don't have to deal with account bans.

Wouldn't FB just link all of your accounts together by using your VAT ID? I'm getting different advices from several directions, but none of them sounds sensible.

I am not running FB myself but when you consider to run blackhat stuff you could try to grab a valid VAT number from a website and use it.
When your account gets banned and you use a new one just grab another VAT number.

Well it's quite obvious and easy for FB to track this stuff yes. If they are checking suspicious activity regarding stuff like fingerprints etc, for sure they will check & find correlations between accounts with same VAT numbers. That's not a question.

BUT I have never heard accounts getting banned because a VAT/company was flagged (maybe they did, but nobody knows).

At the end it's all about quality score of the account, BH or WH. So run BH midly,, move to WH, use VAT from other companies as twinaxe mentions etc etc. Or ignore the stuff and proceed, but I guess your accountant will not be happy with that.
