Why 1000s of Affs are flying to Bangkok this December..

3 years ago, in Bangkok, Affiliate World was born. Over the years, we’ve constantly worked at building the ultimate arena for networking, learning and of course nightlife.

With every event, comes feedback, and we tweak and we make the next EVEN better. With that said, Affiliate World Asia is a well oiled machine. The legendary Lotus Garden Rooftop Terrace Parties, the epic stage setup for your speakers, the exhibition floor that keeps on growing with new attendees, the list goes on and we can’t wait to share it with you again.

EXPECT JUICY CONTENT WITH LOTS OF TAKEAWAYS FOR YOUR CAMPAIGNS

Based off the data of attendee profiles on registration, and surveys, we’ve put together a killer lineup for you. You’ll learn from affiliates and ecommerce marketers’ tactics that will boost you into 4 , 5 even 6 figures daily. Although some have done SERIOUS numbers, they are all teaching practical, realistic takeaways.

Danilo Lee - Did $163M in leads alone last year within the legal lead gen scene. Danilo will be sharing his best kept secrets to lead generation on Google.

Zack Franklin – an 8 figure Amazon seller, Zack is who the Chinese ecommerce giants hit up for ranking tactics on Amazon. He’s also built out systems that help small to medium businesses compete with them.

Depesh Mandalia – Audited and managed 100’s of Facebook accounts, Depesh will be giving a full suite approach to audiences, creatives, adset optimization and long-term profitability.

Warren Jolly – Started doing SEO at age 14, now represents $250M in ad spend! Warren has over 2 decades of experience in affiliate and ecommerce marketing, and will share realistic knowledge the audience can apply, as well as inspire you to think bigger.

Dennis Yu – Started by running analytics at Yahoo to now managing the Golden State Warriors Ad Spend. He’ll be going over best practices to high FB ad spends.

We also have a company joining us who’s disrupted the traditional agency model, beginning as a Tumblr page, that now gets a million likes a post and charges Burger King $24K for turning their Crispy Chicken Filet into a Meme…stay tuned.

BEST WAY TO MEET OTHER ONLINE ENTREPRENEURS AND COMPANIES

During the day, you’ll mingle through the exhibition floor, meeting your company reps, finding new traffic sources and advertisers while scoping out which new services are out there to boost performance and your bottom line.

We’ve also built on our new, dedicated Networking Zone we created for the exhibition floor. This time there will be an MC to get the group ready, key influencers and authorities joining you as well. Focuses will be on Facebook, Native and Mobile for these networking sessions and will take place on both days.

The exhibition floor is already designed for mixing it up with other attendees, whether that’s in the recharge zone, gaming area or at one of our cafes. Grab a bite and fuel up for the rest of the day.

Before the show even ends, we kick off with happy hour 2-1 drinks to loosen things up a bit. Capping off each day we have after parties held at the Lotus Garden rooftop terrace that overlooks Bangkok. These are without a doubt the best place to catch everyone you met last year, while getting to know some new faces.

After that, for those of you looking to get even more loose, you won’t have to look far. There’s already a slew of companies putting together their own events to keep the night owls’ company.

Tickets are still on sale, save $200 now if you like money. Or be part of that 0.8% that purchase full price at the door…

Oh! And for those of you who I haven’t met yet, I work alongside MrGreen, BBrock and Stackman (and many others) to make sure content, networking and exhibitors are relevant and represent the evolving industry we all live and work in.. happy to answer any questions here too - fire away!

Absolutely can not wait...!!

Same! ^^
Back to the land of pure heat, deadly curries, and wicked beaches.

This year we've decided to focus as much as we can on Asia/China and put more of a light onto those markets. A lot of interesting tactics from some huge Facebook spenders and Ecom giants will be shared this year at AWA.

We've also got a market jam packed with some of the top advertisers and traffic sources currently in the industry.

Why 1000s of Affs are flying to Bangkok this December..

Fizzing for AWA. Barcelona was my first and it was a game changer for me. Hanging out with other affiliates I’d only talked to online, it led to a VERY valuable partnership (with my account manager) that would never have come to pass if I didn’t man up and attend the event. It’s not cheap with flights, accommodation etc but damn, you’ll cover your expenses in one campaign from the goodness you learn and the networking.

Bring on Bangkok

Affiliate World Asia is just something else. Not your average conference...

10-18-2018 10:05 AM #8 shishev (Moderator)

The networking you do at AW conferences can turn out to be invaluable. I remember someone stopping by the STM booth at the last conference asking for help with their FB camps and at one point there were 3 or 4 of us gathered around, brainstorming and discussing what they should do to improve the camps etc. - point being is you should knock on doors, ask around and not be shy if you want results and connections.

Hi mods, I am new to the stmforum, I have just heard about AffiliateWorld Conferences. I am very interested in this, I think it will help me to grow and get a better vision at AM related stuff. I'm currently 4 years into cpa marketing so I would like to come. I have some questons about this conference..
Is any affiliate invited? Is it ok to come alone, like do I must know someone? Is there a learning aspect of the activities, is it teaching related to get ideas & discuss related stuff, or is it party related so affiliates can hang out and have fun?
And also last thing, do I need a visa for Thailand? I'm from Macedonia btw so if anyone from here is interested would like to meet up & go together, hit me up

It's a mix of both. You can learn from speeches and networking breaks organized during the day. And you can hangout, party later in the evening.

As for your visa question, seems you need a visa for Thailand indeed, if you have a Macedonian passport. You should be able to get one, the conference website has a form to request a visa letter: https://affiliateworldconferences.co...request-letter

That said, for Thailand it might make sense to get a tourist visa and hangout for a bit longer there

That's great you'll be joining for first time! Some quick answers to your questions:

1) Yes any affiliate is welcome, we don't discriminate
2) Many attendees come alone for the first year, then the following conference it's more of a reunion, which grows over time to a big tribe of friends you look forward to seeing at each affiliate world conference
3) Learning aspect is the 30+ speakers we bring to Bangkok, as well as the conversations you have throughout the show with other attendees. There are networking sessions in the day for more focused discussions, then it gradually loosens up as the night continues, to networking drinks, then after parties. Something for everyone for sure.
4) Manu spoke to the visa, and let us know if we can help: https://affiliateworldconferences.co...equest-letter/

Bangkok is a place where magic happens, pure and simple. Some amazing partnerships, friendships and opportunities all formed in the warm Bangkok air.

Been going to these since 2016 and they keep getting better every year! Really looking forward to this one.

You mean directions to the event location? Everything you need should be on the website: https://affiliateworldconferences.com/asia/details

I wrote a blog post about the Affiliate World Conferences and how it all started and whether it makes sense to attend, about a year and half ago, check it out : http://www.matuloo.com/awe-berlin-20...e-conferences/

But in a nutshell, every conference I attend, gives me something in return .., it's either a new contact that helps me later on, some piece of information that I was missing ... plus the feeling that I'm part of something bigger, an entire industry and not just my own office

Just to give you an example of what a conference can do for you: One of the first "conferences" I attended was the STM London 2015 meetup, I met Ivan from Kimia (large mobile affiliate network) at the venue bar, he gave me a few tips on how to run mobile campaigns in India while we were drinking a beer and chatting ... when I returned home I tried it and within a year I made about $1 million in revenue with Kimia alone This pretty much paid for every future conferences I will attend in my life. Not all the tips are this heavy bombs, but I return with something useful from every single conference I attend.

The important thing here is : LOOK FOR THE INFO ... nobody will just run into you and spill the nuggets just like that, you have to be proactive. Talk to people, talk to the advertisers, attend the speeches, go to the after parties, make contacts ... and follow up when you return home.

^^ This is the kind of stuff people need to see/understand - go there, hustle and go home to smash it.

I know right! I've got so many similar stories from people who are still successful to this day from conference networking. It sure can be daunting and the expense at first, but yeah nothing for me has ever beaten hanging in person at these events. I mean sometimes I feel like I could spontaneously combust from feeling so naturally high from the epic conversations and experiences haha!

If its your first time:

- Don't have expectations
- Noob or pro everyone is respected
- Talk to as many people as you can
- The best friendships and networking often begins outside of talking straight business
- It's a business trip to Thailand... isn't that reason enough :P

I got a fake passport

Looking forward to another wild time!
Looks like we're all going to prison again....

This is definitely the event that I’m most excited about.

Can’t wait to see you guys there.

I heard last year some STM’ers went wakebording after the conference. I hope we will go this year too!

When a group of like-minded individuals start mingling, 2 things will happen: MAGIC and SYNERGY.

I've been tending the STM booth since the first AWC, and have seen so much of both happening - it really is quite exciting.

Of course a lot of networking can be pre-planned, for example if you're an affiliate looking for more volume of a certain type of traffic, or more offers in a specific vertical, you can browse the list of exhibitors ahead of time, zoom in on the ones you'd like to meet with, and visit their booths during the conference.

But it's the un-planned, unforeseeable rendezvous and what I call "accidental inspiration" that impresses me the most. For example:

-2 completely unrelated individuals that don't know each other may happen to drop by the STM booth at the same time, where one is providing the exact service the other is looking for. Or both people may be running the same type of traffic and would start exchanging intel and knowledge. Or they would decide to partner up and start a project or even a business together!

-Many service providers that don't know what STM does, would drop by the booth just to find out. And in the process of chatting, I have been able to connect them with the resources they needed. There were even several instances where I was able to trigger new ideas on how they could improve/expand their businesses - to see people's faces light up when they got excited about a new point of view was priceless and is something I would always remember and treasure. And the magical part was that none of this was intended when these people dropped by the booth.

-Another example: The OMG guys Mike Long and Greg Morrison dropped by the STM booth during AWE earlier this year, and now we're collaborating to the benefit of both sides, where we're learning SEO / paid traffic from one another (they are the expert of experts in SEO).

And unexpected stuff like this happens all the time at these conferences. I think the right word here is serendipity? Really exciting stuff!

Lastly - this conference also provides the perfect opportunity to seek out people you've been working with, to match faces to the names and deepen your relationships. That can be invaluable as well.

I could write a lot more but will stop here. Two words of advice: JUST GO! You won't regret it.

AWA keeps getting better every year!!! Really excited about the speaker lineup and the meet market should be hoppin'

One important question: has anyone put together an AWA party spreadsheet yet?!

This was super helpful in previous years (example: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...3X8/edit#gid=0)

In any case, we'll see you all there

The BIG question a few people I've talked to about: What's the word for after the conference?

Ko Samui, Phuket, STM Island - all must-do destinations for the last few variations of Affiliate World Asia, but what are people thinking for 2018?

Some of the best networking can happen during these chance meetings and gatherings - spill the beans people!

Haven't heard of anything being organized. Small groups are doing their own thing as far as I know.

I'm just chilling in Bangkok a few extra days for example.

Affiliate World Conferences are the best way to meet and partner up with like minded people out there. We have been to tens of different conferences, meetups, summits... but AWC are by far the best!

We have joined forces with Tim Burd and put together a FREE TICKET Giveaway for Bangkok AWA!

We just posted about it here: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...cket-giveaway!

Nope, the only discounts I'm aware of are the early bird tickets, as the show approaches, the price only goes up.
