hi, just a quick question about cpvlab
I'm looking to be able to add a subid for each add that I end up making so I can give the ads a name and know which converted.
when I try the url append and add &s1= as the append token and then create a unique name for an add it doesn't seem to be sending the info to the network.
I know i'm an idiot and can't see the simple thing i've been doing wrong since I've tried too many times.
anyone know or have a quick way to be able to send unique id's for each ad to network?
thanks for any information.
In order for CPV lab to capture that, I think you need to check "capture extra tokens" and add the token you're using. But...wait, are you trying to pass that to the ad network? If so, you'll probably need to do it in the offer URL, which means a separate URL for each ad.
yeah, the network wanted the ad subids to help optimize and affect payout or some such tale. I've never gotten that from a network before and it seems kind of a weird sketchy request...but I figure it's worth a small test.
OH wait...ad network. Not affiliate network. I don't know why I keep getting those confused.
Can you just add a pixel for them?
no, you had it right, the affiliate network wants them to optimize from ads or know which ads backout the best and adjust pay more to use those or something. like i said, I've never gotten this request before.
Ya this can work well.....if the network does its job they can def help you to understand things better and get you better payouts.....but doing this with cpvlab isnt easy ...I would ef ask support.....In the past what I have done this its been with has-offers...which allows for much easier pass-thru
Answering all my questions today! Thanks a bunch, I'll email them to find out how.
i did this recently, make sure you're upgraded to the latest version to begin with. uncheck pass subid in the top section, then create a new token called &sid=XXX or whatever the network (neverblue?) calls it. make that token your subid they can track quality with. what you're doing is stopping CPVlab from sending the crazy unique subid and artificially adding a basic one at the end.
side note: while I had this set up, my pixels weren't working. I think that was less of a CPVlab issue and more of a network (NB) issue though. I'd be interested to hear if you have the same experience.
