While I spend time getting deep into this new territory I want to start learning by sending traffic to my existing funnel.
The lander is a simple email signup/squeeze page that makes an offer after sign up and then monetises fully with a long email sequence behind it that already exists.
It's a funnel that only works in the UK and is in quite a narrow niche that has been hard to monetise, but I've succeeded. The site the lander is on is an authority site with a lot of credibility. Totally white hat.
The lander is hosted on my own domain, a Wordpress site, and GTMetrix gives it first contentful paint time of 1.47 seconds.
I want to experiment with Native traffic.
I'm currently using Google Ads and Facebook to send targeted traffic, but it's been hard to find enough clicks/big enough audience size, as it's a small niche, plus my tech guy who runs the Google Ads and the Facebook has gone, and my handle on those things is non-existent.
Currently tracking with Mixpanel and Google Analytics, set up via Google Tag Manager. It's a mess and I don't feel I'm in control of it, or even whether it's fully working properly.
Before I abandon the niche as having been plumbed out, I'm thinking of a real mass attack, using Outbrain to send UK traffic, and starting again with the tracking using a combination of Funnel Flux and The Optimizer to prune the campaigns.
How does that seem? Crazy?
So you want to test your old UK niche based funnel on new traffic source?
