My First Pops Camp (9)

My First Pops Camp

Hey everyone.

I am new to the forum, but I have been diving in intensely to all of the amazing wisdom that is freely given here.

After reading Vortex's 40 day beginners guide and Wakeboarder's pop follow along, I have jumped in with both feet.

I picked the Swedish language to target with iPhone X sweeps. Currently, I am ripping the top landers from Adplexity and swapping out my aff link. This is all I'm changing, due to just being in test mode.

The first major problem I have found is traffic volume. I started my first PropellerAds camp at $2.33 bid per Amy's recommendation. But, it has taken me nearly 3 days to spend $10. I bumped the bid to $3.33 and $20 limit just trying to get data.

I am using Test Easily for tracking since I am familiar with them. Currently, I am testing 4 ripped LPs and 4 offers from Peerfly. I will test MANY MANY more, but I was just simply wanting to make sure tracking was setup appropriately. But like I mentioned, I am at $2 spend per LP. It will take weeks to get enough data.

My question is, Is this language simply not large enough to get significant traffic from? What should I try differently? I am open to any and all suggestions. If I need to change GEOs, I will do what ever it takes to make this go. If I need to scrap the whole idea and start fresh. No problem.

Thank you all for the value you have already provided in this forum.

It's a nice start! have you tested your LPs with SmartCPM in Propellerads? Swedish language have enough traffic volume to start.

I am setting up a new campaign to use SmartCPM. This camp will have 5 more LP and 6 offers from Mobidea.

Sweden has good sweep offers but it's very competitive.
I would suggest to start with easier Geos.
I had never success with Peerfly, would be good when you would have access to 2 or 3 more networks so that you can test which ones are doing best for you.
And the $2.33 CPM bid from the tutorial is just an example, it won't work for all campaigns.
And good that you now setup a SmartCPM campaign, good luck with testing.

Great job so far and kudos for opening a follow along. Great decision!

twinaxe gave you some good advice, especially regarding other aff networks. Here is the list of networks I would recommend you to sign up, they are proven networks with experiences AMs and plenty of mobile offers.

YepAds
ClickDealer
Gotzha
OliMob

I would also recommend you to start with less competitive geos like: Indonesia, Malaysia, ...

Spend some time and play with traffic estimator in PropellerAds. This way you will get more familiar with CPM per geo and volume you can expect.

In the test phase, I would recommend you to start with 3g traffic and if it's converting good, add WIFI. If you decide on this approach, keep this in mind when you're doing research.

Cheers,
wakeboarder

Thank you @twinaxe and @wakeboarder. I will implement what both of you have said.

Update:

Overnight I setup a new campaign and used SmartCPM per @leadcloak. I immediately started getting volume. When I woke up this morning, I had an email stating I had spent my budget. So, I was happy to see this solved my volume issue.

Secondly, when I check my Mobidea dashboard there were 2 conversions. Cha-Ching!! I can almost smell the leather on the new Ferrari 488 . This was $20 in ad spend and $1.98 commission.

But for some reason, I can not find where the conversions came from. I emailed support this morning. I will update when I get an answer.

Conversion update:

I turns out the 2 conversions I made came from the Smartlink from Mobidea. I did not know I was using this?

Quick Update:

I have still only made 2 non smartlink conversions. 1 was from Modidea and the other was from Brokerbabe. I started running out of iPhone offers, so I ran some non congruent dating offers. I have tested about 10-12 LP.

I am going to re read:

Wakeboarder's Pop tutorial https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...me-POP-Working

Greg's Pop compaign https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...g-(with-Binom)

And, keep testing more offers and LPs.

For a recap, I am running in Sweden and Finland Swedish language pop offers. I did try an English lander, but it received only a couple clicks so I killed it.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for being such a great group.

Update:

Sorry for being away so long. But, I have been working away in the background.

This is a screenshot of my best performing campaign.

All of the conversions came from PopAds. But, I am maxing out their traffic at a little over $1 per day. Propeller Ads and PopCash had a ton more traffic, but alas, no conversions.

At the advice of @stuckupkid and @erikgyepes, I am going to toss this one and move on to new GEOs and offers.
