huge variation of traffic from day to day?

hello,

just wondering if anyone has seen this...

targets are the same
targets are shown to be the highest bid
i also have the shorten variations where i am shown to be the highest bid

i don't believe there is such a BIG variation in the traffic... any insights?

What kind of numbers are we dealing with?

this is lead impact we are talking about by the way...

1000+ views per day

to today = a whooping 59 views!

is there such a thing as views being served to people with higher budgets?
--> wait, this doesn't make sense because the targets are still the SAME and i am shown to be the HIGHEST bidder...

you might be the highest bidder....

but people bid the crap out of variations....which can really screw with who is top bidder....

increasing how it jumps up and down like that though?

hum... this is very weird

nothing has changed in my campaign (i added new targets BUT the approval team didn't get to them yet) and thus far, with the SAME targets:

This had happened before with another campaign...

Does LI "punish" you for pausing?

I'm experiencing the same issue on LI. #1 bid for a high-volume keyword and was getting a flood of traffic. Paused the campaign... Unpaused, and now the traffic's trickling in slowly. Pretty sure nobody is overbidding on URL variations.

yeah, it is a weird isn't it....

i am thinking it must be something to do with frequency cap or daily budget? i don't know

my daily budget right now is set to $10 per day
my individual user cap is set to 1 view per day

Hey guys,

the reason is simple actually:

Zango ( LeadImpact ) is NOT activating the targets in your campaign right away after you unpause your campaign. ( Well, you think they are because you are receiving a drop of traffic, but its not really active ) It takes their system around 24h to activate and send full volume.

Btw. just put your Campaign budget / Daily Budget on $5 or something if you want to pause it for a day or two. I rather loose 5-10 bucls and have my campaign get the FULL amount of volume when I want it.

good call, that's been my experience. after 24 hrs, volume comes back.

I am no longer pausing campaigns because I am using the trick tijn and polar taught in the 40 day guide when STARTING a campaign...

instead of pausing campaign, I go to the advanced settings where you can day part... I turn off today, tomorrow and however many days you want (assuming it's less than 6 days). you could technically keep adjusting it everyday and you could pause it for long than 6 days as well, just keep rotating the day of the week you allow the campaign to be turned on.

I've been noticing lately that it takes me a while 24 hour period to start getting good traffic once a campaign is approved. I'll have a few hundred view the day of approval and then they next day it jumps exponentially and stays strong from then on. I'm thinking when you paused the campaign it "reset" this "timer", which is why on day 4 all was back to normal...It's just a theory tho!

Thanks man! This really helped out ehh!!

I was having the same problem with a high traffic target that dropped 90% of it's volume after I paused the campaign. But this seems to be the problem, I def won't pause campaigns any more, only adjust the budget or the day darting settings.
