Haha, I think you mean a different word to "linching" which sounds like "lynching", which basically means an informal public execution of someone.
Gonna assume you mean pre-launching here.
There's a few basic ways to investigate the sensibility and practicality of running offers in various geos:
- Use spy tools to check if they are being run already, and whether the intel suggests they are being run successfully
- Ask your AM for data/details of performance across the network in specific geos
- Do some basic math given the network details, e.g. if average performance is a CVR of 5%, try calculating the EPC a CVR of 2.5% will get (start with half the network average to be safe). How does that EPC compare to the probable cost of a click from your traffic source for that geo? If you're using a lander, divide even more by CTR. E.g. if 2.5% network CVR get's an EPC of $0.20, and you estimate a lander CTR of about 20%, you're going to need clicks to cost $0.04 to that lander to break even. This math does not need to be accurate, just in the "realm of sensibility" to ensure you don't do something impractical, like try to run an offer that's likely to give earnings per click that are an order of magnitude below your average click cost from a traffic source.
- Use common sense research for things that could be deal breakers. E.g. if it's an offer that requires a credit card and is for a non tier-1 country, let's say it's Colombia, do some Google searching and figure out the penetration rate of credit cards. Does the average person have one? Is the average person your market? If the offer requires a CC to convert and only 1 in 50 people in the country have credit cards, its going to be a difficult journey to make that work. Another example - its an iOS app. What is the iOS penetration in that country? Can you target by iOS specifically? If your traffic source can't and the market is 90% Android, again you'd be wasting a lot of time/money on something that's not likely to work.
- Ask other affiliates, e.g. on STM Forum. People aren't likely to tell you exactly what offers are working for them or be a vending machine for X offer yes/no answers, but if you demonstrate you've done basic research but have not come to a clear conclusion and just want some clarity, asking "X offers in Colombia -- has anyone had success or has advice?" -- then you might get some useful feedback to help. It's especially helpful to learn from others mistakes.
