Group or Pages? (5)

Over the past couple of months I have watched various trainings on FB pages and FB groups for the sole purpose of driving affiliate revenue.

Basic idea of both. Create a page or group around a niche. For this example - let's say Keto (since it was Harlan's training I watched).

Pages are open to anyone and do not require a join request but FB shows post to fewer people and based on their algo of how many people click, like, share a post.

Groups. Free to join. Require you to request to join so feeling of belonging to something special. But, posts are shown to more members of the groups than pages.

First of all - is the above correct?

Second - which is the better option (the ideal option would FB Watch but I am currently too small with too few connections to play that game currently)

Good for pages . It can grow with fb ads whereas with groups that is hard . Mainly people in fb earn with pages

This information is already months old and I expect it has changed. Groups and Pages now basically have the same reach. It all depends on "Engagement" ( how many people click, like, share a post). The reason i am saying this is that a number of Group owners in Norway now are complaining that only a few members see their posts.

The logical reason for this is that we have all joined to many groups. There is just not space on our newsfeed to show all group activity. So Facebook just show posts from Groups where you have recently interacted.

Go with pages. It gives you the power of Ads. It is super powerful and you can do magic with it. In real life, you actually need a page to drive traffic to your Group.

The key with pages is creating really god Engaging content. When you get Engagement you can fire it up with some Engagement ads that are really cheap in many GEOs.

Creating this content is not always so easy but it can give you a long time brand that can be more stable than just running offers.

With pages, can I have the ability to only allow posts I approve? I know that is one of the advantages to groups. I don't want my users spamming my users I plan to spam :-)

Sure you control your page 100%. You can disable posting by anybody else.
