I will try to describe my current situation and want to ask some advices from your experience.
We have currently some sports related news websites and getting good amount of traffic on daily basis from several social networks, main source is facebook, but it depends with sports events. When something happens related to our niche, income and users are growing several days and then it goes back to regular everyday numbers.
As we grow our traffic from facebook, we would like to somehow expand without it as well and have big numbers regularly on our own basis.
So here are few questions, and will be glad if you tell me your opinion:
1. We want to catch somehow these users and not to be depend only on facebook traffic. We already implemented Push notification system on our websites, so users are subscribing and we send them news every day.
We are looking for such systems to "catch" these users and notify them every day, not to loose their attention. What can u suggest? Should we go for whatsapp group? or Newsletter subscribe system or We even think about creating mobile App and offer them to install (then we will use notifications to get users on daily basis)... Any more ideas? what will you do with such traffic?
2. How can we monetize them well? mainly its mobile traffic from Tier 1 countries. Should we use gambling CPA offers or try some other merchandize selling stuff? Can u suggest the best networks for that? Currently we use Adsense, Taboola and some direct advertisements, but quality of the traffic should be good, as we also bought once that likes via highly targeted ads.
Any ideas, how can we expand that direction more?
Incoming traffic..
establish presence also on quora and reddit, to diversify from fb.
For outgoing..
Id actually go with a daily email blast.. with a funny twist to it ..similar to wtfaff ..
Definetly not push notifications.. if you have a publisher site with good quality and loyal followers.
Sport betting + merchandise + app instals ? but id just include them in emails first to see how it goes.
and write some segment for them.. review etc.. dont just push them cold via banner.
No idea about which aff networks are good for those..
