Hey gang. I'm helping some friends get started with a fashion brand they are launching. They have done some minimal early marketing on FB so far, and although their brand is getting likes and follows, there's no sales rolling in yet. This is a little different than other things I've marketed in the past because they aren't just chasing a quick buck - they actually want to start a brand that they can build over time and eventually have a full original clothing line.
Let me know what you think: https://suga-rx.com
Hi joshtodd,
Thanks for sharing the store. I am by no means the target audience, and don't know much about fashion myself but happy to give my initial impressions.
- First visit was positive. Nice logo, fresh looking banner and feel to the site. I did think the "new for" "so fancy you'll puke" font was too small/hard to read and plain compared to the rest
- Scrolling down, again I liked the order. Favorite part was definitely the 2 50% images with no text. Clean photography and eye-catching.
- Not a fan of the "what ails you" banner. Seemed out of place, and dark/flat compared to the rest
- Confused by the bottom section where it states $5 shipping but the top nav banner says "free Shipping"
- Most clothing products looked good, with attractive photos. I actually really liked the skirts and I'm a guy lol.
- Copywriting on products seems weak. Most are 1-2 lines and don't really sell me on the product (photos are great though). Not sure if that's on purpose for the demographic etc, just a thought
- Necklace accessories had weak photos and seemed like an afterthought compared to the clothing
- Would consider an "About / Origins" section. The clothes are great, but to differentiate it from just some generic store I think a brand story section is worth it. How this came about, who the owner is -- since this is a serious endeavor for organic growth. I noticed there was some of this tucked away in the FAQ.
Overall, the site definitely came across as well made and not a fly by night shop.
Wish your friends the best!
^^ Agreed mate!
Mr. Todd thanks for the share its a nice looking store, on the left I would probably pull the log up more higher to top of page and have the menu follow there it just appears a little down the page.
Are all these clothes unique designs? - If so its pretty awesome definitely a market for that
Hey joshtodd!
Nice looking webshop man. init2017 and maynzie already gave you good pieces of advice.
Here are a few more.
Product reviews
Product reviews are super important.
Trust Seal
It’s a well know fact that embedding secure badges increase conversion rate. I would recommend two types of badges:
- Product badges
- Secure badges
Product badges
You need to tell users about product uniqueness with a simple badge. a badge that is showing “waterproof”.
Secure badges
For secure badges, I would include logos of payment methods that are available (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, …).
Besides that, I suggest you design some nice badges for satisfaction guaranteed, shipped from US, secure and safe checkout, more than xx,xxx happy customers, fast 48 delivery ...
Add to cart flow
When you add a product to cart you only get a message ( This item has been added to cart! View cart or Continue shopping). I would change this to redirect user to cart or show him nice popup with products/upsell/etc.
Email Opt-in
Add more opt-in boxes. Wheelio is super popular among Shopify users and conversion rate is brutal.
You can look at this webshop (American As Fuck) for an inspiration. I think these guys are killing it in your niche.
Good luck!
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

It's very tough to build up a long-lasting competition in online fashion niche. If I were the owner, I would seriously consider switching to a less tough niche.
Thanks for the excellent feedback everyone!
If you're not familiar with HTML/CSS and
In the past, I was working on 10+ Shopofy projects with Aarti from ROYALZEXPERTDEV and I was super satisfied every time. Price/performance = 10/10.
I really like the brand they're building out here. Feels very vibrant and fresh. The logo specifically is awesome. They're targeting a pretty broke demographic, so I feel like influencers could be really helpful here to get people to pull out their wallets.
Find 5-10 micro influencers and coordinate some posts. One idea I've heard around influencers that I like, is finding some local influencers, and building "collections" around their favorite pieces. Then you can arrange a photo shoot and use the images of these influencers as actual models on the site. By bringing these influencers into the core of your site like this, you can get maximum benefit.
Hello Josh, "Keep Connected" widget is missing social icons.
Store is nice and design are great. Good Luck!
