Need guidence/tips for fashion start up audience research?
Hello,
I am starting a brand in fashion niche, womans dresses to be exact. I have an idea I would love to test. How does one go about audience research pre-making the designs. I am keen to find out which way should I move the designs to? I have 2 different angles in mind, which makes me wonder how to make an educated guess.
Thanks for the help

You can do a simple split test by creating some mock up images with your two different angles, and then just send the traffic to a lander where the user can sign up for email updates. If you create two ads (one with each angle) and run them in the same campaign with the same budget and targeting, you can use the CTR to gauge interest. You could also set up two landers with two separate lists to see which one gets more signups.
Also, you can just post in a few FB groups with the two angles and ask for feedback. Or heck, even post it here if you want.

Yep nothing better then letting your audience do the deciding themselves :P
Similar product to any other dress makers? Why not go through their social media and see how people like/comment/respond to their dress styles if yours is similar style

make sure they go all the way to an actual purchase, because they have to vote as if they were spending their money.
So up to where they have to click the "buy now" button on your site. After that, you have to mention something about it being a test, a potential product in the future, early stage product or something along those lines.
You want to test the process as far as you can, so you can be as sure as possible about their intent to buy.
