Facebook dating, will the sector change?

Question of the day .. Soon there will be the section of dating on facebook, do you think will change the field of online dating?

Will there be a change on offers, traffic sources, and so on?

Maybe for mainstream dating, but not for adult dating since FB doesn't allow adult stuff anyway.

You can still promote dating on FB even now, but they need to whitelist you for it, which is not that easy... and I doubt it's gonna change with the dating section.

FB used to allow the promotion of dating offers - I've run a bit of it as a newbie years ago.

And then they banned it.

IMHO: This is an extremely lucrative vertical, so if FB decided to ban it, there must have been quite some justification behind their decision. So I won't be holding my breath for them to reverse this decision.

FB DOES allow SOME dating offers to be run, but you'd need to be a 'registered dating partner'. I have no idea what it would take to be approved, but I'd imagine nothing less than a solid valuable dating service with a good reputation and large membership base would even be worth their time...

Very cleaver move, they have more metrics to connect potential dates than any other platform. Especially 35+ target audience will use this feature probably. I am wondering if it will be another new possible place to put your ads, could be interesting! Think about verticals like VSL- how to date women, clothing to look slick on your date, presents to give your date etc etc.
