I have seen a lot of posts about FB banning accounts and people struggling with opening new ones๐ข
So I thought I would chime in.
Back in the day polarbacons thread was extremely useful on how to open new ad accounts. Over the years things have however changed, and I thought I would update it a bit
But that being said, FB is a monstorus machine and sometimes you can get banned randomly even if done nothing wrong,
and there is no way back into the biz.
So bearing that in mind, I decided share my strategies for creating backup accounts.
My background is in affiliate space (mostly GH/BH), but over the past year have moved mostly to WH.
When was running BH, main issue was always accounts. So over the years with a lot of trial and error, we perfected the "farming" methods
of the accounts in my opinion.
But since we work with clients who do run affiliate stuff, im still very up to date with this side of the business.
So I'll cover in this post how one would go about opening and managing new accounts.
This is geared more towards guys who just need few accounts as a backup and not towards mass production.
But most of this applies for those who do GH and need much more accounts.
I also won't cover other options like buying accounts or rentals- this is also done typically by guys who need accounts in large quantities.
Happy to cover in future how to keep them alive , especially if you are running GH or edgy stuff.
So...these are just my observations. So take them as that:
Overall facebook as other similar platforms will give you an overall "quality/trust score".
Your new account will be successfully opened if your QS(quality score) is high enough.
Factors that FB considers are many : account age, account activity, canvas fingerprints, ip quality, different devices used,
friends matrix, your hardware uniqueness, social activity, third party site interactions, account security, user behaviour, browser type etc etc etc.
Main contributors however are :
1)Your IPs:
2)Personal Profile Quality:
3)Your fingerprints :
4)Payment method you are using:
Also note that, if lets say you are using abused/blacklisted IP, but rest of the parameters are good your account most likely will still work.
They take in account the whole picture. Yes some parameters "weigh" more then others but generally they take into the account the whole overall score.
1) YOUR IP'S
Always try to use residential IP's. People get away with using datacenter ips/vpn's etc. But its only asking for trouble.
Yes even in real life you might have a corporate connection or use vpn from time to time - but these things are not helping you.
If your account will work its not because of that, but despite that. It means rest of your QS is good enough.
To be sure use residental IPs. There are services that sell them, but one of the easiest way is to literally buy yourself a cheap smartphone + sim card.
And when creating an account and making activity on it, always use that phones hotspot as an interent connection. Scaling for mass production
isnt easy that way, but its doable also. IP does not have to remain same every single time you access that account. So if your IP changes everytime you
turn the airplane mode on/off - means you can manage multiple accounts that way. Just make sure that between switching accounts you always change the IP.
Do not use mainstream proxy service providers like luminati etc- FB has mapped them all out pretty much.
2) PERSONAL PROFILE QUALITY
This is basically your account age, amount of activity it has had etc.
Ideally youd have a profile whose name+birthday is very similar to yours if ever in the future they should ask for ID.
Ideally before adding any payment method or making any ad, your account should be several months old. It should have reglar natural activity.
Try to just log in 3-5 times per week, add some friends, like posts, add pictures, engage with ads, engage with groups, watch videos etc..
Basically do whatever you do usually on your real account. You dont need to do all of these actions every time you are in there, but overall you get the point.
Act and behave naturally. DONT SPAM!
Fill in your personal profile. Make it detailed and real.
Add pictures.
When adding friends, don't go overboard and add 10s of friends each time. Just 1-2 is good enough.
Facebook also looks at friends matrix, so if none of your friends are not connected with each other, then it looks suspicious.
I can bet that in your real account , a lot of your friends are friends with each other. Its just natural. Its your social circle.
So add few friends at first and eventually FB will start recommending you friends who you might know (based on how many friends you have in mutal)
Add an unique phone number.
Enable 2 factor authentication.
All these small things make a difference.
ALSO CREATE a Page pretty early on in process.
3)YOUR FINGERPRINTS/COOKIES
If you are only creating few backup accounts, it does not matter that much in all honesty. But still something to consider.
Each computer has unique fingerprints. Its basically based on how your computer handles certain tasks (video processing, audio processing etc.)
So youll have fairly unique fingerprints for your canvas (browser) and hardware. There are softwares and services that help you hide those things,
but again as I said this is geared towards those who just need few extra accounts as a backup.
So if you are not planning mass generation, then simply creating a new mac/windows user profile on your computer will suffice.
That will keep all your cookies separated and also managing of the accounts much easier.
So all you would do is have FbProfile1 , FbProfile2, FbProfile3 on your computer. Each time you want to access it, you would switch your IP and log in.
If you have mac its much better, since most macs share a lot of fingerprints. After handling of the account , make sure to log out of the profile.
4)YOUR PAYMENT METHOD
If all the other things above are done you can add your payment method. Ideally , you should get a Card from the same country you are from.
Ideally a real bank card. Many prepaid cards work just fine, but why risk it? Especially if you only have few accounts in making.
I used to at first make an in app purchase. So before adding a card to ads manager, buy some 1usd worth of game tokens from some fb app.
Once that goes through, only then I would add to ads manager and create a first ad. If all was done correctly your account should start spending.
I mentioned earlier that you should make a Page pretty early on. Reason for this is , that FB doesnt always like new pages (it depends on page type,
account trust score and also your accounts payment threshold.) That part I never totally figured out though. Sometimes new pages would cause issues
and sometimes not. So dont hold me to it. But just to be sure, make sure your page is active + at least week or two old.
I would start with page engagement ads and then let the ad account spend small amounts for few days.
It does seem that older the actual "AD account" is, better it will last.
Ok, I kind of went over this with broad strokes, and there are other details to consider, but these are the main things to keep in mind.
I might cover othertime how to keep accounts alive longer especially if you are running "edgy" stuff.
And might go over buying ready made ad accounts(if you dont want to wait 1-2 months ) and account rentals, if anyone is interested.
Feel free to correct me on some of those points, or add any other things that you have noticed or ask any questions.
๐Good luck and have fun!
Hello AdzMed,
Thank you for the tips.
I wanted to clarify something.
If I have admin access to a business account and then set up a new page seperately, if that seperate account gets banned, do I have the other business account banned along with my own personal profile?
Thanks!
Great post Adzmed! Very informative and comprehensive!
The only question I have is if you use your real name and birthdate etc. for your new account, and you seasoned it for a few months as you suggest. Once we are ready to import those accounts into our main BM to be used, would FB's algo not catch the similar name and birthdate etc.?
Thanks, AdzMed or anyone else who could enlighten me on this.
Thank you so much!
I guess that cloud computer solve the stable ip issue and the fingerprint.
I'm gonna use Amazon free for 12 month windows cloud computing service for this mossion
