40 day newbie follow along
A few weeks ago I was told to save at least 2k USD before I do affiliate marketing.
Well I now have that
I am not sure what to realistically expect but I will be doing the 40 day newbie challenge
I have a cheap chrome book instead of a more mainstream computer If you think this could be a issue please let me know asap
I am going to start the challenge now

I have been going through day 1 of the newbie guide, Voluum tracker prices have gone up from $99 to $300 because of this it seems I will need to purchase Flunnel Flux instead. I am going to have to work out a different tracker to get

DAY 1 Complete
I decided to get the Binom tracker

Binom is a good tracker based on what I've heard from many affiliates.
It's also very similar to Voluum - so most of the instructions in the tutorial should still apply. Some tweaking will of course be necessary, as there WILL be differences between the 2 trackers (such as the names of tracking parameters and tokens).
If in doubt, just ask! I've never used binom myself, but can look up their documentation and provide guidance.
Have fun - will be looking out for updates!

Congrats, and Binom is a good choice.
The only limitation you might feel with ChromeBook is the availability of tools like Photoshop etc. - but hey, there are utilities like Pixlr and Canva - so you won't be missing anything imo.
The starting few days might be challenging and you could feel like giving up and that your money is going to waste with self-doubt, but that's completely normal. The community here is pretty helpful - so don't hesitate to ask questions.
Good luck!

I have found and been approved for a offer which matches the requirements set out in day 2.
I am waiting to be contacted by my Affiliate manager with his recommendations for offers too add to the spreadsheet, (Is the Affiliate manager the dashboard support person on Mobidea? That is who I messaged.)
With the OS section of the spreadsheet, I did not know if all OS's are being used with the offer I chose. The offer listed quite a few OS's was not sure if all were listed.

Did not think any of these restrictions were supposed to be added to the spreadsheet, please let me know if they are of significance and should be added it will let me know what restrictions I should be keeping track of when I add other offers.

my Affiliate manager sent me the other offers which I added into the spreadsheet all offers instantly approved I worked out what I was doing wrong with the spreadsheet.

I am going to now do day 3

The support at Binom has been great they helped me with every single question I asked. I gotta go get some sleep now, tomorrow I will skim through day 1-3 of this guide to see if I missed anything important. obviously do day 4
I was slightly concerned today as I was not using Voluum which the guide is based on. Binom turned out well tho.

embarrassing lesson
I lost the ability to access my tracker for a very long time. I kept getting this response from the webpage

Turns out my own ISP was blocking my domain, the support team at Binom made me realise this was the case. I checked by using a VPN and I can access my domain when I have a VPN on

Making good progress! Wow the ISP blocking your domain - how unexpected! Did you find out why?
One thing to mention: Direct linking to carrier billing offers on pop will not bring you consistent profits nowadays. Use that as practice, and run a couple of offers that way. But then try to proceed to the lessons on landing page as quickly as possible.

I made my first money ever from affiliate marketing it was less then a dollar but still a achievement I obviously lost money overall on my first campaign
I fixed my tracker so it should show conversions (it did not show the conversions)
I did a fair chunk of reading which I was supposed to read previously
I did part one of direct marketing optimisation I will probably leave part 2 to tomorrow as I am feeling lazy

Good for you on getting tracking to work!
Now that you have experience with direct-linking, it's time to move onto landers.
Direct-linking to carrier-billing offers is just not a profitable model anymore. It's not that it's IMPOSSIBLE to make money there, but it would involve more than just running whitehat - there are so few offers that would net you profits, that you'd be wasting more money on testing to find the winners, than the amount you'd be making back on the winners.
So - please keep progressing to later lessons in the tutorial. Rip and fix up some landers and start testing!

Lessons on optimization will still be valid, but you can always refer back to them when you're actually running a campaign.

You don't really to learn how to code landing pages yourself.
You just need to understand HTML, CSS and JS so much that you can edit downloaded landing pages.
Also when you are little bit tight on budget better don't just blindly run campaigns straight away.
It's better to spend some time with proper research beforehand so that you don't run stuff that has no real potential to work.
Often the fight is won or lost even before you send the very first visitor to your campaigns.

Wow that's tough! My sister has that and it used to scare me so much when we were kids and sleeping in the same bed. Sometimes I would elbow her just to get her to start breathing again.
Congrats on getting it fixed though! Wishing you a smooth operation and a speedy recovery (and of course a serious surge in productivity and concentration!)

I have been unhappy with my work ethic in terms of coding, although I will have greater capacity to get things done in the near future.
I think I understand the minimal bare bones of coding.
I am going to move on to the next day of the guide
I will be posting a lot again soon after my last surgery on october first

It's natural to procrastinate when you're faced with difficulty that seems insurmountable.
No need to beat yourself up over it. Just do what you can WHEN you can.
And there's no need to be a perfectionist either, i.e. don't wait until you feel you know enough to move onto the next step. You may NEVER do, because coding is just a subject you can never completely master.
Learning the barebones first, and then just figuring things out as you go along, would be the best approach IMHO.
Looking forward to seeing updates after your surgery!

Yeah don't beat yourself up mate, hope your surgery goes well and you can come back full focused. You're making progress mate!
I completely suck at coding... and know a lot of other affiliates who do as well, it doesn't have to be a roadblock in your career at all
