Whats the smallest daily spend for a campaign would you run? (17)

Something I've been trying to focus on is staying more organized as well as targeting better for my campaigns.

Sometimes though when you use a lot of targeting, the volume/spend goes down quite a bit.

So my question is what is the lowest daily spend for a spot you would consider creating a new campaign for?

$20? $50? $100? etc?

And if you're doing these low $25-30/day spends, are you just tracking results at the end of the week?

It seems doing a daily analysis would be kind of worthless as the data wouldn't be anywhere near statistical significance.

Will wait for our resident adult expert to chime in - but to me, the more important question to ask is what would be the amount of PROFIT I'd consider to be worth my time in managing a campaign.

Yup, profit is what matters more ... I don't really have minimums, even $10 per day spend campaign can bring $30 in profit, because you know how it goes, some small unsaturated spots can often bring the best ROI

Its true that optimizing these low traffic spots is very hard, it often needs more than a week to get some solid data sample, so yes, daily optimization isn't really possible.

So, as along as the campaigns don't require much attention, I keep them running at basically any spend and check once in a few days.

It also depends on the current setup I'm running ... if I have a very large campaign running, I will neglect the small ones ... but sometimes, bulk of my profits are coming from these small spots.

Yeah I have a few campaigns that make like $10-20/day that don't require too much work, Im just debating whether or not to continue these and the best way to go about them.

They do require some work, so I haven't decided yet.

But cool yeah I never thought more about profit over spend, something I'll have to think about I guess.

Perhaps use a tool to monitor the stats and notify you only when the conversion rate or traffic volume goes below a certain threshold. That would free you up to work on something else.

No problem with running lower spend campaigns, they will probably require less attention anyway as data will come in slowly.

To optimise / get idea of the data just zoom out to a longer timeframe - ie. 7 days to see how it performs.

I got some of these low spenders running "forever" (= months) without almost any maintenance.

As others already suggested I also wouldn't go only by adspend but rather by how much you can get from the campaigns.
Years ago I had a very stable campaign running for several months that generated on average $1k revenue from $3-$3.5 adspend and I had no work with it.
It was running 100% automated.
I know this is an extreme example but when I would go by pure adspend I would had to kill the campaign.

Yes, you read it right.
But I have to say it was very blackhat and in the end I was somewhat happy when it ended because I was afraid each day that my door bell rings
I can't post here what it was but I can tell you it worked just too good.
Was a nice time, it lasted for about 6 months and all I did in that time was to login to a platform each day in the evening to check my revenue.
So basically during that time my whole work took about 1 minute each day and that was only because I checked revenue.
Little bit off topic but I had my work almost completely automated for many years.
In this time I also coded my own cloaker.
Before I only worked one day each month for about 1-2 hours.
You know the saying, work smart not hard.
That's what I did.
