websummit Lisbon 2018

Since we are all focusing more on building brands etc. I am thinking off going to websumit in Lisbon November 5th till 8th.
Has anyone been before? Is it useful in terms of knowledge and networking?

I've been to the WebSummit in Dublin, the last one they held there.

Not impressed, unless you are looking to raise money or have a service for the other startups there.

I found it to be just way too big to actually connect to people. Too unfocused basically.

Still, if it's a relatively cheap expense for you and you've never been, probably worth checking it out. I don't regret going that one time, just saying I'd prob not go again until my business is a better fit for the event.

Never went myself, but the speaker lineup looks pretty impressive
