Usually GAY does well with this, but I would still advice to test all categories, mainly because of how the categorization on adult sites work and because of how they are usually setup.
1. categories are often set based on something in the description, which is far from being accurate. Large part of the content you see on regular tubes for example is handled automatically in bulk, by various uploaders. As you can guess, there is little time to spend on properly describing, tagging and categorizing a video, when you're uploading hundreds or thousands of them. The most accurate categories are usually gay, shemale and maybe lesbian ... but there is so much overlap in the rest, that categorization often lacks ANY accuracy. Think about a threesome video with a black male, one older and one younger model, while one has big fake tits ... thats how many categories ... threesome, MFF, interracial, milf, teen, possibly lesbian, stepmom ... how accurate is that for targeting?
2. most of the big sites out there are multi-category sites ... surfers click from one video to the next, often they land in categories they never intended to ... this makes the targeting kinda pointless.
To me, if I ever attempt to target categories, it's gay, shemale and straight ... the rest is hit or miss

+1 on this, very solid advice and spot on from my own personal experiences too.

Thanks guys. I tried it, but for some reason it performed even worse than straight categories.
I promoting those international "long and strong" offers from adcombo, unfortunately without much success

Perhaps if you explain your step by step actions and show results people will help you make it work?

Could be cause of the reasons I mentioned, the category targeting simple aint that accurate

I also agree with Matej when it goes to categories the problems are:
- videos are assigned into multiple categories (you can do a simple test, just send the category token and see what appears in your tracker)
- people are browsing sites and discovering content randomly clicking on the similar videos below, which may be from a totally different category
So what I would recommend here is to differentiate yourself from competition and test different bid positions to see which one brings you the most profits.
It is still hard though, if 10 affiliates/internal media buyers promote the same product over and over again it's just a matter of luck on which one the visitor will convert (= in oversaturated markets)

Matuloo is right, these offers work well on gay traffic. Not many gay dating offers available on the market and all marketers have the same idea for convert this traffic, it can be easily saturated
If you find other traffic sources less exposed, it should work.

here is yesterday's stats

there are a few problems,
there are 2 sales, and 4 holds, not all holds are converted to sales. It is one problem
Second problem is that with the current CPM bid the traffic is very slow, but if i increase the CPM it becomes unprofitable.

Why dont you run on the higher CPM for a couple of days and then when you know which spots convert you only target those spots?
With your best lander and pre-lander.

You need more sales to really draw any conclusions. 2 sales in nothing, 1 can be random and ... you can also get another random one and it will change the whole campaigns result. You need to find out what the average conversion rate will be from the holds to real sales, then track the holds too and optimize the traffic better.
Is this adcombo? I think you can configure the postback with them to track the holds too or ignore them. Because even the unfilled holds tell you something about the placement, and funnel, it's more valuable than those with no holds at all.

I'd add a caveat that it also depends upon the type of offer you're running.
For example, one of our offers, Volume Pills is specifically designed for increasing the size of a man's ejaculation.
Now, if only there were a category dedicated to ejaculation on tube sites...

Yup, Peter North = business ... he appeals to bother the straight and gay communities, due to his history in gay movies too ... I remember he also had a range of paid websites, own lines of movies, products etc ... he must be one of the longest running adult performers for sure, if not the longest one of all
