Parasite SEO in 2018

Is parasite SEO still worth pursuing in 2018 or is it completely dead?

What's best practice when it comes to parasite SEO?

Found this post. Well-worth giving a read if you're not familiar with this SEO strategy: https://medium.com/@KeywordsHeaven/p...o-ecadabf67f84

Google's Algorithms are advancing really fast. And lately they have been giving more value to relevancy than to Backlinks or Authority.

That said, I see Parasite Sites in Google from time to time and know someone who has had decent success with them last year.

If you are thinking about ranking for keywords that are high-competition, then you can forget about it.

On the other hand, it is fairly easy to rank #1 for a keyword that doesn't have any targeted pages from high-authority, relevant sites on the topic.

Why not give it a try. It won't take more than 5 hours of work if you are targeting low-traffic, low-competition keywords.

Let me know if you see any success.

Parasites still work. The set up isn’t as easy as it was in the past. I won’t get into the nitty gritty but the most important thing is the relevancy (content, anchor texts, and back links going to your parasites) and how it’s linking to your target site.

How many backlinks can you point to the various platforms before getting shut down?

Do you send the traffic to you're money site or do you direct linking your offer from the parasite?

I haven't built a lot of backlinks to my parasites that would cause them to go down, but I've safely built 20 - 50 links to them before. It all depends on how your parasites look. If they look spammy and you have a lot of backlinks built to them, then they'll most likely go down. You should be looking at these parasites from the eyes of the owners, they don't want low quality stuff on there.

I send the traffic directly to my money site or other targets. I never really create content that "sells" one my parasites. I do try to collect some kind of information though, be it a tracking pixel or even an email. Leave no visitor untouched.

Parasite is such a abhorring term! What we are really getting at is whether a URL on a site can rank, even it's content/ keyword isn't supported by other content (or linked to from other content on the site). It's "harder" but certainly still works. It's way easier if you can get content on a relevant site, then the relevancy of the topic helps float your rankings of inner pages, but without links, either from the site/ domain itself (preferable) or from outside, it's gonna be more of an uphill battle. This question kind of is like "can I rank a "Go Pro Black" page on and IT site with open contribution. Yeah, it takes more resources for your, but there are a lot of resources that you are already working with as far as the domain getting niche relevant links and such.

medium.com + huge amount of spamlinks with exact keyword in anchor work best for me.

Create.piktochart.com and quora.com (excellent parasite) with some "secret" and "spam" links is working fine lately...
