Quick Tracking Discrepancy Question (MobIdea, Adsbridge, PropAds)

Hi all, I'm doing the 40 n00bie bootcamp. I just want to check if this discrepancy is normal, or there could be something wrong. I can post extra information in necessary.

Visits Clicks Impressions Conversions
Mobidea 3457 3457 n/a 0
Adsbridge 3860 n/a n/a 0
PropAds n/a n/a 4130 0

Hope that displays formatted correctly!

Thanks!

Got an answer for this! PropAds said:

"The usual discrepancy is 10-20% and 90% of our advertiser see it within that range," however with others there were no cases we have detected the discrepancy reason in a number of impressions.
But here is the list of main reasons which can cause a high discrepancy
- there may be a number of zones causing the discrepancy, so we recommend to you to check by zones and exclude such if any
- the more redirects are in the url the more chances it will cause the discrepancy
- if you use complex targeting, your tracker might do not recognize some of (opposite to our data), so it might cause the discrepancy too. Consider running a small test selecting just a GEO or GEO+platfom and check how it performs discrepancy wise."

Your clickloss percentage is not bad. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

By the way - something totally unrelated to click loss - but since you're following the tutorial: Please only launch a couple/few direct-linked campaigns, and then quickly move to the landing page part of the lessons. Direct-linking is near impossible to make profitable nowadays unless you're running blackhat. Landers is the way to go!

And yep, I've started doing landers this week. A few challenges, but getting there. Did get some profitable campaigns in Philippines and Palestine and ultimately got back $550 from approximately a $650 spend, so a pretty good experience with DL... but the campaigns just suddenly die. Like $30 one day, then $3 next day for no identifiable reason :-( Landers time.

Almost breaking even DL'ing to DCB offers? That's a feat for sure - especially considering (I'm assuming) you're not using blackhat tactics such as iframing/clickjacking or worse.

As for campaigns dying suddenly - unfortunately that happens a lot with pop, so I'm afraid you'll need to get used to it. But that's part of the reason why I always suggest for newbies to expand away from pop once they have more experience. Pop is relatively easier and cheaper to learn, but for consistency of profits or ROI on the amount of time spent, isn't the best.

Looking forward to seeing your results from using landers!
