MGID good starter network for native?
Hey guys!
hope everyone's doing snazzy.
What do you guys think of MGID compared to other native platforms regarding these things
1)quality
2) Budget needed compared to other sources such as revcontent
3) Ease of getting a campaign breakeven/profit compared to other sources
4) Ease of use in general
5) Manager and customer support?
I know its alot of questions but im just starting off in native and want to get a more detailed idea about the experiences others had with this network compared to others so i dont have to spend 10-20k across 3-5 different networks to figure it out myself
Dont be shy guys! spill your knowledge.

Quality: Outbrain > Taboola > A Massive Gap > RevContent > Content.ad > Mgid
Native aint easy mate. Traffic quality has gone down like crazy on RevContent and Content.ad. Outbrain and Taboola have the best traffic sources by far.
Mgid doesn't allow whitelists, you can make one by using the bid adjusts, but it doesn't work too well.
I'd would pick RevContent, find one or two good placements and run on there. Approvals are reasonably easy and your rep will help more.

fuck eh. That's quite unfortunate to hear. Thanks for the tip tho!
Either way i already put some money in. Im going to let it process. And at least try to make it work. If not at least get at least some of my money back and lessons learned!

Any tips on image sizing for MGID? It's a huge pain and I'm wasting a lot of time trying to crop/resize images so that they fit BOTH the rectangle ad space AND the square ad space. Seems nearly impossible with some of headshots I have of people (for my campaign).
Anyone know a faster way to do this?
Cheers,

If that's becoming a constant pain point you could try VSO Image resizer which lets your resize images in bulk.

Unfortunately, as has been posted already - MGID has had it's traffic quality decrease significantly over the past 6-7 months (At least based on my experience)
However, they have manual widget bid adjustments they call "coefficients" which if you figure out how to systemise properly can really help you get the best of their traffic by handpicking widgets without a WL campaign
