Hi team ,
I am totally new in Affiliate Marketing. There are heaps of resources here, must admit I am somewhat overwhelmed as to where to start.
Would someone kindly point me to the right direction.
1.Should I get my basic right by learning about what AM is all about, then move on to learn about native
2.What threats/posts would you suggest it the best to start?
3.Where and what posts/threats are bread and better that is going to enable me to be well versed in Native ad.
Thank you so much team, all your help is very much appreciated.
Hope everything is going well with their chosen field of AM.
Look forward to hear from you !
take care
Hey man!
1) Basics are basics, you need to learn them: how to setup your tracker, upload landing pages, applying to offers, working with affiliate networks, creating campaigns on the traffic source side, postbacks, campaign analytics/optimization. You will not go far without the basics, so it's important to tackle them in the early stage.
2) There are bunch of great threads, @vortex has an amazing 40 day tutorial there is also a whole section called: Getting Started In Affiliate Marketing - 2018 Edition and Newbie's First Steps. I know it sucks to be reading newbie stuff, when everyone want to be a pro and running those 10k/day campaigns, but we all started somewhere, right?
3) As I already gave you a bunch of links above (that will keep you busy for a while) don't forget that there is an amazing search function. You can search specific native terms like: native, revcontent, mgid, taboola etc. Then for example what you can do is to sort those results by thanks (likes) or views to see the interesting ones. Try to do a selective learning on the topics that are interesting and relevant for you.
Cheers,
Erik
Thanks Erik for recommending the 40-day tutorial!
purplecova - pop and native have many similarities, but pop is so much cheaper. So I would highly recommend that you run pop first, to learn the lessons for cheap, and THEN move onto native.
Not on is pop traffic cheaper, but offers that can be run on pop traffic have MUCH lower payouts as well, which means you can optimize your campaign for much less money.
For native, the most costly part is cutting placements. Imagine pushing a $2 offer on pop and cutting placements that don't convert at say 2x payout, and then imagine doing the same on native with a $10-20 offer.
However, if you have a big budget and don't care about losing more while learning, and you're eager to start on native, don't let us hold you back!
