1. You have a poor starter strategy: You're basically throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. You don't know how to find profitable campaigns, choose offers, no proper optimization process, etc etc. This is an AWFUL strategy and will only result in a big loss of money. Learn to set yourself up for success in the BEGINNING.
2. You have unrealistic expectations: You hear a lot of big affiliates making x,xxx/days and xx,xxx/days profit. SO you launch a campaign, lose money, and say this doesn't work that it's all a lie. Well first of all in order to hit xx,xxx/days profit you need to learn how to make $1 first. In order to do this you need to PRACTICE. and the only way to practice is to spend money and launch. Focus on making $1 then double it to $2 then double over and over again. Eventually you will learn how to hit the big numbers.
3. You have the "Lone Wolf" mentality: I've said this many many times before. The best way to learn this business is to network with other guys who are where you want to be. Ask them how they did it. Have them teach you. But before you ask any questions, try and friend them first. Don't be that guy who just asks for advice and then leaves. Try to add some value to the person you're asking. Nobody likes to help someone who is selfish. S go out there and find the top guys and have them teach you.
Keep launching. Keep moving forward. Keep practicing. You will get there. Hope this helps guys. Hmu if you have any questions. Skype: Beerandon11
Great share man, all very valid points!
#3 is a standout for me, was always stuck in my ways in the first few years thinking I would either let a team member down or I could do more tasks on my own.. I don't think its truly possible to cover all aspects of affiliate marketing with just one brain, we're all kinda cut from different cloths in the way we approach things.
Partnering up with someone who excels in areas you don't... (Or just joining a mastermind of different talent individuals) will truly excel your potential. Like you've probably seen Mr Green and Stackman mention they're not technically inclined and can stuggle even with the most basics I find myself in that category but where we are inclined is more of the angle/creative side. Then if you ever get to mingle with Bbrock23 you will see how much of a technical wizard he is. Partnering with another member on this forum who is the complete opposite to me is where things went way up.
"If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together" Synergy, 2+2=5
Also like you mentioned unrealistic expectations is a big one, I mean yes 1 in 500 is going to come online and be smashing massive days in no time at all, I've seen it happen numerous times but chances are that won't be you. You will have to grind through some shitty messes to get the reward, but even then this industry has ups and downs for everyone... its still a business!
Focus on laying the correct foundations outlined by some of the guides here (vortex, caurmen, zeno guides) and begin to build the skillset of launching campaigns, optimising and begin to network and get amongst the industry as a whole. Then no matter what campaigns come and go, you have a SKILLSET you can always fall back onto and continue to push forward.
Just keep putting that one foot forward daily, no matter how small. Good things take time
To what you guys said about the lone wolf mentality. SO TRUE. For the longest time i did not talk to anyone just tried to do it myself.
It was only like a month or 2 back where i really started trying to just give as much value help as much people as i can even tho im yet no 100 million dollar business man. I do try my best.
And the awesome connections you make but also value such as tips, tricks, and ins for great private offers or very good reps is literally insane.
oh and the make 50k a day in less than a month with 40 mins a day of work. LOL sorry to burst your bubble buddy but those gurus know a tad more than fuck all and just want your money.
I had that exact mentality too when i was 15 and getting into small cap stock trading. seeing lot's of people making 500-1000 bucks a day and i was like OHHHH YEAAAA thinking that would be me in 3 months.
Well after 1.5 years of awesome adrenaline trading and studying everyday damn day for at least 3 hours i still came out red.
There is no guarantee in any business. That's why i know realize were the crazy ones doing this not the people getting jobs looking for a stable income.
But i learned my lesson and many more that i have been taking onto internet marketing so to me it wasn't losing money. It was buying knowledge. ALOT of it. and it was awesome wouldn't change a thing.
Great post man. I love reading things like these. its like a slap in the face. but with love. It's a love slap. and i love it.
Okay this is getting weird. ill see you guys later.
