Super High CPCs on FB
Anybody else seeing super high CPCs on Facebook for the past couple of weeks? We've tested a lot of variables, but nothing is working, wondering who else is in the same boat.

Totally fucked.
Used to be 0.04-0.08 USD or smth like that, now its at 0.30-0.40 USD.
Just checked a new account and the cpc is at 0.68 USD lol.
It's the same for image / video ads and over all verticals.
What is happening?

You need to refresh your angles, test different targeting audiences, touch other geo's, get better accounts, or just find another offer/vertical maybe. Content and interaction are more important than ever. The fact you are getting high cpc's is because the ads simply don't work (anymore) on the current audience(s). Even high relevance scores can get high cpc's because lack of unique content and bad ad experience. Facebook performs still very well if you play your cards right I can confirm.

It's for brand new angles too.
CPC jumped dramatically from one day to another about a week ago and remained high for all accounts for every single campaign.
You don't see it with any of your campaigns?

Exactly what I'm seeing plaike, the issue is system wide and angles/ads are not a factor.

Why would a new angle perform well on a bad account? Why would a new angle with no added value get low cpc?
I am missing too much info to find the real reason.
June and July were my best months of 2018 I think, running avg of 0,06ct for a bunch of weeks in UK for example.

It's across 15 different accounts, all warmed up for a few weeks, so there is no reason why a new angle should not perform well.
We're not talking about the avg performance of the last months but rather a spike in cpcs in the last few days.

Super High CPCs on FB
And do you use for each account different url’s in ad manager. And different images and text?
What’s the vertical by the way?

No man, not all. Some new ads even go below my 0,06ct average.

Got the same problem but with CPE. Went from $0.04 average to $0.12 or even higher this month, on ads which I was running for a long time (different creatives but I know the audience).
My CPC is normal

Nope, I think this is an issue specific to you, I am afraid.

That's a false statement as two people In this thread have already claimed to be encountering high CPCs, so it's clearly not an isolated occurrence.

I know dozens of people having high cpc’s man. I also know dozens of people who don’t know how to drive a car. So we blame the car for that too?

I think the 'poor ad experience' is coming into play here more and more...

Relevancy score is 10, did not encounter any poor ad experience penalties.
It's global, not only US.

That's a super extraneous analogy you have put forth man, lmao. I never blamed the Car (Facebook) for our issues and to extend on your analogy, we are all Formula One drivers here; I'm simply after the rate of frequency of the said occurrence.
My statement stands firm.

I’m running ads in US and I didn’t see any CPC increase, but actually I’ve seen some campaigns that after some tweaks have dropped their CPC.

Some of my friends have this problems, too. All of the sudden from a specific day. The solution is changing new accounts and new pages continuously until the cpc gets normal. I don't know why there is so much difference on these totally new accounts. Maybe Thanos comes to Facebook from Reddit...
