New Chrome SSL Update?

Hey guys,

Starting July first which was last week chrome marked all "HTTP" sites not secure.

Was just wondering what some of the affiliates did to keep their campaigns up? Or did you always have a SSL certificate on all your campaigns already?

Did you guys have to restart all your camps with new domains that are secured?

Or did this not even bother you?

I'm just curious about how others went along about this

Now just in the process of getting all my namecheap domains a SSL.

I use eUKhost but I guess other hosting providers with cPanel got it - automatically installed SSL certificates. Saves you time and money so ask your hosting provider.

People are testing this, but so far results are rather mixed for some of us ... check this for example : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...er-with-https-

And in case you're looking for ideas on how to set this up, check this thread that I just replied in : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...1-SSL-updating

Very interesting responses. I use Amazon S3 to host my files. It's just really easy to use after you get a few steps down.

Thanks @matuloo and @dlauer for your links. I will look over them

I will do some reading and find out exactly how to do it. Thanks for your input everyone!

So for me, I prepared to make the switch over to HTTPS if I noticed a big drop or hiccups in our performance.

And while I was prepared, I did not switch over to HTTPS right away on any of our main traffic campaigns.. in fact, I'm still using non-https campaign links and click links - no issues.

The only noticeable difference I've seen with using HTTPS is for iOS traffic, it does help but not in all cases.

I will report back as I learn more from my data.

Looking foward to it!

I'm planning on running only desktop and android.

But if i get into IOS and mac I will definitely secure my links.

Thanks,
