how facebook page important ?

For the last 1-2 month it is very difficult to create ads. We get a lot of unusual activities. In the past we just create page instant and then create ads. But in these days page is important ? Should it be aged or liked. What do think about that guys ?

Thanks.

Definitely important now in the recent Facebook scandal, the better quality your fanpage the easier your campaigns are to run. If you can get cheap aged fanpages then I would go that route for sure, even then you want to have some activity on them.

Most cases if you create a page and then create ads you will get those unusual/suspicious activities or your fanpage will be unpublished very quickly.

Fanpages hold more weight then some people suggest, I know this from a very solid source within the kingdom of FB lol

I am doing this for years, without a problem. When in AD manager I use the option to create a new page instantly and start your ads with it.

Unusual activity has probably more to do about the account.

But a fanpage with good reputation will get better results than a new page yes.

I use FB to promote e-commerce products, and I normally warm up the page a little: I create some content and then run a couple of campaigns to get some likes (just spending about 100-200 bucks).

stickupkid I see you create pages and start running ads right away without any problem, but you probably have a long good records with FB so you don’t get into troubles.

Of course this is just my opinion.

I have always created a new page and launched the first ad right after without any problem on personal and "not-so-personal" accounts (I'm pretty impatient). I just did one recently like an hour ago with no previous advertising history. As @stickupkid pointed out, you getting unusual activity has more to do with your actual account (activity, age, etc.) and possibly the ad account if it's brand new.

The type of campaign you are trying to run as the first ever campaign on an ad account is just as important unless the account is really strong. A campaign with page likes as the objective is in my experience the safest to run on any ad account. Anything else and your chances of being flagged for unusual activity skyrockets on accounts that aren't rock solid. A likes campaign increases the quality score of an ad account and will eventually pave the way for you to be able to run other campaign objectives without problems if you let it run for long enough.

A page with good engagement, activity and reputation will help better the performance of your ads but it will not actually be the cause of an unusual activity flag as of today.

Yes, I can only confirm the above said responses.

A fresh page won't cause unusual flagging HOWEVER it is very very important that you maintain a good page activity (posting quality content, engaging with your audience, just simply putting a little extra effort into managing your page) - this helps your campaign's performance in the long run.

I personally don't think a like campaign is the best way to increase the QS in an ad account. The more engagement you get the better it is, therefore running a simple engagement campaign will result in more likes, shares and comments than a like campaign. Also important to note the price difference, you get a LOT more engagement on a PPE campaign for much cheaper $$$ than on a page like on a like campaign.
