How do I avoid negative comments on my ads?
Hi,
when running ads I always get people who write some negative comments under my ads.
I know that I can hide the comments or use a filter so that other people don't see them.
But it is still bad for my quality score that eventually decreases and leads to an account shut down.
How can I prevent those people from giving negative feedback at all?
I remember that somebody used a link in the ad description to send people with negative
feedback somewhere else to put it down there.
Can anybody tell more about those kind of tricks?
Thanks

I highly doubt this exists, if so hats off to the one who created it.
Less misleading or agressive ads will do the trick.

The only trick that comes to mind now is to say something like "here's the complaints page" - just not as obvious or aggressive, and then pixel them.
In other words, the trick I heard of is to pixel the negative feedback somehow, and exclude that audience from targeting in the future, plus also you can create lookalikes to exclude from targeting too, so you get fewer people similar to those that complain when you run your ads.

Yeah that's a really neat trick. I think someone told about that on Facebook Mastery in Berlin. Just when you create a look-a-like audience go with 1% (no more), so you don't exclude too many people.
Also you can use Profanity filter to exclude most common words like: scam, crap, bullshit, fake, aliexpress etc. This will automatically deny all comments containing those words.
I've heard that you should never delete comments.. If they are really nasty, simply hide them, but don't delete them.

Yep, it was Patrick Dermak.
I heard that tip again this year from him. Just remembered now, even wrote about it in the newsletter

Yeah personally I don't delete comments just hide as well, not sure if it brings more attention if you delete but I like to be safe then sorry.
If your campaign is WH and you're longer term, you can use some negativity to your favour, just reply in a good manner.
If you go to the settings on your fanpage you can add all the words to ban on your posts here

Patrick's trick is decent!!
I also like to just hide and then ban the person from Page. The more engagement you have on an ad the better it is. So definitely always reply if it's a positive comment and leave the negative ones just hidden.

The trick to avoid negative comments is to try to be not aggressive with your ads.
The less aggressive the less negative comments.
That´s in theory, the truth is - You can´t do shit about it.
People are dickheads, social media users are probably even bigger dickheads and people in general just like to complain.
A friend from England once told me how to spot english people - They are queueing and complaining
So you can try to reduce negative comments by running less aggressive but by the nature of people you probably will never be able to avoid them completely.
But even with the nicest and user friendliest ads you will receive negative comments when you run enigh volume, sometimes people just complain because of the simple fact that it´s an ad.
The only surefire way to avoid negative comments is to don´t run any ads.

I’ve found that it doesn’t matter if you run aggressive or not, you’ll always have someone writing negative comments.
FB is full of people that just like to spend their time writing bad comments here and there: these are haters.
I always reply kindly to haters and I actually like to fight them with good copy (haters aren’t normally that smart and educated), even if this sometime can last several back and forth, but when I got them the satisfaction is really great! I’ve also noticed that this is good for the ad’s performance.
If really I can’t find a way, I hide the comments, and never delete them.
